Explore America's Grand West Adventure

Upon your arrival in Los Angeles, you'll be transferred to your hotel where you'll have some free time to explore and settle in at your own pace. In the afternoon, you'll receive information regarding the start of your tour, either directly from us or by checking the informative panels located in the hotel's reception area. Take this opportunity to relax and prepare for the adventure ahead. Please note: This tour may have travellers joining or departing at various points along the route, meaning group composition can change during the tour. Please also be aware that depending on group composition, guiding may be in additional languages as well as English.

Following a hearty breakfast, we'll embark on a panoramic tour of Los Angeles, one of the most expansive and vibrant cities in the United States. Our journey begins with visits to the cultural and economic hubs, including the music centre, civic centre, and financial district, as we pass by LA Live and the iconic Staples Centre. Continuing our exploration, we travel along Wilshire Boulevard, meandering through the diverse Korean Quarter and past the historic Brea Ditch. As we venture west, we'll arrive in the opulent neighbourhood of Beverly Hills, famed for its luxury and splendour.Our route then leads us to the legendary Sunset Boulevard, culminating in Hollywood, where you'll have the chance to explore the renowned Walk of Fame and marvel at the Dolby Theatre, Chinese Theatre, and the iconic Hollywood Sign. After, there is free time to stroll and savour lunch at your leisure.Later in the afternoon, we'll provide a transfer to Long Beach, where the breezy palm trees contrast with modern glass buildings. Enjoy some time at Shoreline Village, a lively spot ideal for a relaxing walk or dining experience in its vibrant restaurants, all with a splendid view of the historic Queen Mary ocean liner.

Today, we depart Los Angeles and make our way to Las Vegas, Nevada. Upon arrival, we will provide an afternoon tour of Downtown Las Vegas and the renowned Strip. This bustling avenue is lined with an array of hotels, casinos, and entertainment venues, making it a vibrant hub for adult leisure. In the evening, you may choose to participate in the optional "Night of Lights" excursion, which offers a spectacular view of Las Vegas illuminated at night. Please note that this leg of the journey may be operated by a regular line bus.

We begin our journey early, heading towards Arizona to our first stop, the charming town of Seligman on the historic Route 66. This nostalgic spot invites you to step back into the golden age of American road travel. After a brief pause, we continue towards the majestic Grand Canyon, one of nature's true marvels and a symbol of the American West. Our mid-morning arrival includes entrance to the park, where we'll explore key viewpoints like Bright Angel Point and Mather Point, offering breathtaking vistas over 2,000 metres above the Colorado River. For those looking for an extra thrill, there's an optional aerial excursion to admire the canyon's vastness from above. As afternoon turns to evening, we transfer to our hotel for rest and relaxation after a day of stunning natural beauty.

Following breakfast, we set off for Nevada, taking in the views of the Hoover Dam during our bus journey, though we won't be stopping. We'll pause for lunch before continuing back to Las Vegas. In the afternoon, we'll provide transport to one of the city's bustling outlets, offering a chance for some retail therapy. Your evening is at leisure, allowing you to experience one of Las Vegas's renowned shows, such as concerts, theatrical performances, or the spectacular Cirque du Soleil.

Following breakfast, we embark on an early morning journey through Death Valley, the largest national park in the United States, renowned for its breathtaking and rugged landscapes. During our journey, we'll pause at the iconic Zabriskie Point to capture photographs of the ancient salt lake remnants. Our itinerary also includes a visit to Badwater Basin, the lowest point in the United States at 85 metres below sea level. Before we exit Death Valley, we'll savour a typical Wild West-style lunch. We continue our adventure, crossing the central mountain range and skirting the picturesque Lake Isabella before reaching Bakersfield. Please note that from June to October, due to high temperatures and park closures, our route will instead take us through Calico Ghost Town.

On the seventh day of our journey, we bid farewell to the desert landscapes and head towards the breathtaking Yosemite National Park. Renowned for its stunning mountain scenery, Yosemite is home to iconic landmarks such as El Capitan, Half Dome, and its majestic waterfalls. We'll take in these natural wonders, allowing time for you to explore and enjoy the environment. There is free time for lunch amidst the striking backdrop of this beautiful locale. Later, we continue our journey to the city of Fresno, where our day concludes.

Today, we embark on a journey into the heart of one of the most awe-inspiring forests in the United States – the Great Sequoia National Park. Here, you'll marvel at the immense ancient trees, some of the largest living organisms on Earth, which stand as silent witnesses to history. Savour the tranquillity of this natural wonder as you explore its towering giants. Later in the afternoon, we make our way back to Los Angeles, where you can reflect on the day’s experiences as we conclude this chapter of our adventure.

Our tour concludes today in the vibrant city of Los Angeles. Following breakfast, we bid farewell. Safe travels as you continue your journey or return home.
