Day 1 - Las Vegas
Welcome to Las Vegas! Upon arrival, you'll be transferred to your hotel where you can enjoy some free time to relax and explore. In the afternoon, we'll provide you with essential information about the start of your tour, which can also be found on the information boards at the hotel reception. To kick off your adventure, we take you on a tour of Downtown and the iconic Strip, the renowned avenue lined with hotels, casinos, and shows that make this city a vibrant playground for adults. For the evening, there's an optional excursion to witness the dazzling Lights of Las Vegas, offering a glimpse into the city's electrifying nightlife. Please note: This tour may have travellers joining or departing at various points along the route, meaning group composition can change during the tour. Please also be aware that depending on group composition, guiding may be in additional languages as well as English.
Day 2 - Las Vegas - Grand Canyon - Flagstaff
Early in the morning, we set off from Las Vegas towards Arizona. Our first stop is Seligman, a small town steeped in history on the iconic Route 66. After soaking up the nostalgic atmosphere, we continue our journey to the stunning Grand Canyon, a natural marvel and an emblem of the American West. Arriving mid-morning, we enter the park with our guide and coach in tow, heading to the awe-inspiring Bright Angel Viewpoint, followed by the breathtaking Mather Point. Both offer striking views from over 2,000 metres above the Colorado River. For those feeling adventurous, there is an optional excursion available to explore the canyon from the sky by plane. As the afternoon winds down, we escort you to your hotel for a restful evening.
Day 3 - Flagstaff - Las Vegas
Following breakfast, we begin our journey back to Nevada. En route, we will catch a glimpse of the impressive Hoover Dam from the comfort of our coach, although we won’t be making a stop. We then pause for lunch before continuing to Las Vegas. This afternoon, we provide transportation to one of the city’s most popular shopping outlets, perfect for a bit of retail therapy. Your evening is free to explore the vibrant nightlife of Las Vegas; perhaps enjoy a renowned show such as a concert, a theatre production, or the mesmerising performances of Cirque Du Soleil.
Day 4 - Las Vegas - Death Valley - Bakersfield
Following breakfast, we embark on a unique journey through Death Valley, the largest natural park in the USA, characterised by its striking, rugged landscapes. We'll make a stop at the iconic Zabriskie Point to capture photos of the remnants of ancient salt lakes. Our exploration includes a visit to Badwater Basin, the lowest point in the USA at 85 metres below sea level. As we conclude our time in the park, we will enjoy a traditional Far West lunch. Our route then takes us across the central mountain range, skirting the edge of Lake Isabella until we arrive in Bakersfield. Please note: From June to October, due to high temperatures and park closures, Death Valley is substituted with a visit to Calico Ghost Town.
Day 5 - Bakersfield - Sequoia National Park - Fresno
After breakfast, we depart for a day of nature at its most magnificent. Leaving the desert landscapes behind, we journey into one of the USA's most remarkable forests, home to the extraordinary Giant Sequoias. Our destination is Sequoia National Park, where the towering trees stand as some of the most impressive natural giants on Earth. Be sure to capture a photo with the General Sherman, the largest tree in the world, and soak in the grandeur of these ancient woodlands. After our explorations, we continue our travels to Fresno for the evening.
Day 6 - Fresno - Yosemite - San Francisco
Following breakfast, we make our way to the renowned Yosemite National Park, celebrated for its striking mountain landscapes, waterfalls, and rich vegetation. As we explore this stunning national treasure, we'll take in its major landmarks, including El Capitan, Half Dome, and its splendid waterfalls. You'll have some free time to enjoy lunch amidst this breathtaking scenery. In the afternoon, we set off for San Francisco, arriving in the late afternoon, ready to experience the wonders of this iconic city.
Day 7 - San Francisco
Following breakfast, we embark on an immersive city tour of San Francisco. Our exploration begins at the bustling Union Square, where you’ll spot the iconic trams and vibrant atmosphere. Next, we venture into the renowned Chinatown, and pass through the Financial District, the Theatre District and Civic Centre. At Alamo Square, admire the picturesque Victorian houses set against a backdrop of modern skyscrapers, a setting familiar from numerous films. Our journey continues through the lively Castro neighbourhood, culminating at Twin Peaks – here, we are rewarded with breathtaking panoramic views of the city and its bay. We proceed through Haight-Ashbury, the historic centre of 1960s counterculture, making our way to Golden Gate Park for a brief stop. Our city tour culminates at the magnificent Golden Gate Bridge.The afternoon is yours to explore at leisure. You might choose an optional excursion to the charming town of Sausalito, offering stunning perspectives of San Francisco and the bay. In the evening, we provide a transfer to North Beach, known as "Little Italy." This vibrant district invites you to indulge in its lively nightlife and a plethora of delightful restaurants.
Day 8 - San Francisco
Following breakfast, our services conclude in San Francisco.
