Once you have arrived at Heathrow Airport, a private transfer takes you into central London to your accommodation, a short walk from Victoria station.

With the rest of the day free, you might like to stretch your legs with a stroll to nearby Westminster Cathedral, or simply settle in ahead of the tour getting underway tomorrow.

This morning, you meet your guide near The Ritz for a walking tour taking in twenty of London's most famous landmarks, beginning with a stroll through Green Park to Buckingham Palace, official home of the King, where your guide shares stories of British royal history.

If today falls on one of the days the Changing of the Guard ceremony usually takes place, your guide will look for the best viewing spot, schedule permitting.

From here, you continue along The Mall to Trafalgar Square, home to Nelson's Column and the National Gallery, before reaching Horse Guards Parade on the edge of St James's Park, with its ornate arch and clock providing a good photo opportunity.

The walk continues to Whitehall, passing Downing Street, before arriving at Parliament Square for views of the Houses of Parliament, Big Ben, the London Eye and the Churchill Statue.

The tour concludes with pre-booked, skip-the-line entry to Westminster Abbey, where British monarchs have been crowned since William the Conqueror in 1066. You can explore the Abbey independently, using a complimentary audio guide available in several languages.

Today, you meet your guide outside the Tower of London for a timed-entry tour, beginning with a walk through Traitors' Gate, the waterway entrance where condemned prisoners such as Anne Boleyn once arrived by boat.

Your guide leads you to the Jewel House to see the coronation crowns and the Cullinan diamonds, before continuing to Tower Green, site of Tudor executions, and the Bloody Tower, where the two young princes disappeared in 1483. The highlight of the tour is a private audience with a Yeoman Warder at the King's House, an area closed to the public, where you can ask questions and take a photograph.

The tour concludes at the White Tower, built by William the Conqueror in 1078, where you are free to explore the royal armour collection and medieval chapel independently.

In the morning, you meet your coach at Victoria Coach Station for the journey to Windsor Castle, the oldest and largest inhabited castle in the world and a royal residence for almost 1,000 years.

You can visit the castle independently, using a complimentary multimedia guide, taking in the State Apartments - furnished with treasures from the Royal Collection reflecting the tastes of monarchs such as Charles II and George IV - as well as St George's Chapel, spiritual home of the Order of the Garter.

Continue to the Georgian city of Bath, where you cross Pulteney Bridge - one of only four bridges in the world lined with shops along both sides - before visiting the Roman Baths, the remarkably preserved remains of an ancient spa still fed by natural hot springs, and Bath Abbey, rebuilt in the 12th and 16th centuries following its founding in the 7th century.

The day concludes at Stonehenge, the prehistoric stone circle dating back 5,000 years, where you learn about its link to the Summer and Winter solstice and visit the on-site exhibition centre, home to over 250 ancient objects, before returning to London this evening.
