Experience cycling through Vietnam on this 7-day tour, beginning in Ho Chi Minh City and heading deep into the Mekong Delta. Start with visits to colonial-era landmarks before riding through Cai Be, Vinh Long, and Can Tho along peaceful canal paths and countryside trails. The journey includes stops at traditional craft villages known for coconut candy and rice paper, lively floating markets, and several ferry crossings over the Mekong. From Can Tho, continue through rural communities to the Stork Sanctuary and on to Chau Doc via the Tra Su Nature Reserve, before returning to Ho Chi Minh City.

Arrival in Ho Chi Minh & City Tour
Once you have arrived in Ho Chi Minh City, make your way to the hotel for check-in. At 14:00, our guide will meet us in the hotel lobby for a tour briefing. We will then make our way to the Saigon Central Post Office, a striking example of French colonial architecture, followed by the red-brick façade of the Notre Dame Cathedral. In Cho Lon, the city’s bustling Chinatown, we’ll get a glimpse of daily life before ending at Ben Thanh Market, known for its lively atmosphere and local goods. Later, we will make our way to a local restaurant to enjoy a welcome dinner, where our guide will give us more details in regard to our tour.

Ho Chi Minh City to Cai Lay & Cai Be
Ho Chi Minh City - Cai Lay - Cai Be. This morning, we’ll meet our guide in the hotel lobby for a briefing on cycling safety and rules for the journey ahead, followed by assistance with bike fitting.
We will set off towards Cai Lay, cycling through peaceful countryside and crossing narrow creeks lined with fruit orchards. Along the route, we’ll stop to see traditional local crafts, including paper making, coconut candy production, and popped rice preparation. After a short ferry ride across a stream, we’ll continue past plantations growing tropical fruits such as durian, jackfruit, mango, coconut, and pomelo. We expect to reach our hotel by mid-afternoon.

Through the Mekong’s Orchard Trails
Cai Be - Vinh Long - Can Tho. Today, we will take a boat to reach our vehicle, which will then take us to Vinh Long, known for its abundant fruit orchards and riverside charm in the Mekong Delta.
Leaving Vinh Long, we’ll ride along quiet backroads shaded by fruit trees and flanked by Delta waterways. As we cycle through rural communities, we’ll get a glimpse of life along the riverbanks. After stopping for lunch, we continue through coconut groves before boarding a local ferry for a short crossing, finishing the day’s journey in Can Tho.

From River Markets to Rural Trails
Can Tho - Long Xuyen. After breakfast, we will take a boat to the Cai Rang floating market. Here you will have to choose to cruise along the river or cycle.
We’ll then continue cycling through local villages with a visit to the Stork Sanctuary. Along the way, we’ll pass small-scale industries including timber workshops, coconut shredders, rice loading docks, and lively local markets. If you prefer, you can hop in the support vehicle at any point or choose to keep cycling to reach a nearby restaurant for lunch.
In the afternoon, we’ll cycle through more of the Delta’s scenic countryside, taking in the quiet charm of rural life, before transferring to our hotel in Long Xuyen. In the evening, we’ll come together for a group dinner.

Riverside Ride to Tra Su Nature Reserve & Chau Doc
Long Xuyen - Tra Su Nature Reserve - Chau Doc. Today, after a short transfer to our starting point, we’ll begin cycling along the river, passing traditional brick kilns and rural scenes on the way to Chau Doc. Along the way, we’ll stop to visit Tra Su Nature Reserve, a peaceful wetland area known for its flooded forests, quiet waterways, and diverse birdlife.
En route to Chau Doc, you may opt to visit the Killing Fields of Vietnam at Ba Chuc. Now a memorial with a small museum and glass-walled ossuary, it stands as a stark reminder of the 1978 massacre carried out by the Khmer Rouge.
Once we have arrived in Chau Doc, we will make our way to our hotel for check-in. Later, you will have the rest of the day at your leisure to explore or relax. Alternatively, you can join your fellow travellers to enjoy a farewell dinner (not included).

Chau Doc to Ho Chi Minh City
Chau Doc - Ho Chi Minh City. This morning, we take a vehicle transfer back to Ho Chi Minh City. Once we have arrived, you will have the rest of the afternoon at your leisure to further explore the city, go shopping, grab a coffee at a cafe or enjoy a meal at one of the restaurants.
