Day 1 - Journey to Goygol & Ganja
Baku - Goygol - Ganja. This morning, you will be picked up from your hotel or meeting point in Baku, located near the Old City or Nizami Street, and travel towards the Goygol region, a journey of approximately 4 hours and 30 minutes, known for its mountain landscapes and cultural heritage.
Your first stop is the former German settlement of Helenendorf, founded in 1819. Here, you spend around 30 minutes exploring the remains of this early community and learning about the German influence in the region. A short drive brings you to Saint John’s Church, built in 1857 as the first Lutheran church in Azerbaijan, where you spend approximately 20 minutes visiting the site, now preserved as a museum.
You then continue for around 70 minutes to reach Goygol Lake, located at the foot of the Murovdag mountains. Known for its clear blue waters and forested surroundings, the lake sits at an altitude of around 1,600 metres and is considered one of the country’s most scenic natural sites. You will have around 60 minutes here to take in the views before continuing for approximately 70 minutes to Ganja, where you check in to your hotel.

Day 2 - Ganja City Highlights & Transfer to Baku
Ganja - Baku. Today, you explore the key sights of Ganja, one of Azerbaijan’s oldest cities, known for its long history and cultural heritage. Located in the west of the country, Ganja blends historic architecture with a lively local atmosphere.
You begin with a visit to Shah Abbas Mosque, also known as Juma Mosque, located on the left bank of the Ganja River, where you spend around 15 to 20 minutes exploring this 17th-century landmark in the historic centre. You then continue to Chokak Hamam, a traditional bathhouse built in 1606, with approximately 20 minutes to visit, followed by the Bottle House, a unique structure made from thousands of coloured glass bottles, where you spend around 20 minutes.
Your visit continues at the Medieval Caravanserai, where you spend approximately 15 minutes exploring this former trading hub, before heading to Khan Baghi Park for around 20 minutes to enjoy its historic setting. You then visit the Imamzadeh Mausoleum, spending approximately 15 minutes at this important religious site, before continuing to the Mausoleum of Nizami Ganjavi, where you spend around 20 minutes.
After your visit, you return to Baku and are dropped off at your hotel or the drop off point the Old City or Nizami Street.
