Day 1 - Prague
Welcome to Prague! Upon your arrival at the airport, we will provide a transfer to your hotel. Be sure to check the information boards in the hotel reception for details about the welcome meeting with your guide. In the evening, we'll take you to Old Town Square, a vibrant area full of life and activity. Here, you can savour dinner at one of the numerous restaurants offering a selection of cuisines, including Czech, Chinese, Indian, and Italian. Afterwards, we'll escort you back to the hotel. Please note: This tour may have travellers joining or departing at various points along the route, meaning group composition can change during the tour. Please also be aware that depending on group composition, guiding may be in additional languages as well as English.
Day 2 - Prague
On our second day in Prague, we immerse ourselves in this enchanting Baroque city, often referred to as the jewel of Europe. Our local guide will conduct an insightful panoramic tour, showcasing the city's most iconic landmarks. During our explorations, we'll visit Prague Castle, a UNESCO World Heritage site, where admission is included. Afterward, we'll enjoy a delightful boat ride on the Vltava River, providing a unique perspective of the city. The afternoon offers you the freedom to discover Prague at your own pace, with plenty of time to wander its charming streets and perhaps sample some local delicacies.
Day 3 - Prague - Munich - Innsbruck
We start our day early, leaving Prague behind as we journey into the captivating landscapes of Bavaria, Germany. By midday, we'll reach Munich, known for its rich history and vibrant culture. Here, you’ll have free time to wander through the historic city centre and perhaps indulge in a leisurely lunch at one of the local eateries. As afternoon approaches, we’ll continue onward, crossing into the picturesque setting of Austria. Our destination is Innsbruck, nestled among the majestic Alps. You'll have some time to explore this charming Tyrolean capital, famed for its Imperial and Olympic history. Allow the enchanting ambience of the Old Town and the renowned Golden Roof area to captivate you as you seek out a delightful spot for dinner.
Day 4 - Innsbruck - Zurich
Begin your day in Innsbruck with a visit to the Swarovski Museum, renowned worldwide as the iconic home of crystals. We will explore the museum's captivating gardens and gain insights into the intricate process that creates these dazzling pieces. Following this, you'll have some free time to wander before we journey towards Zurich, taking in the enchanting Tyrolean landscape on the way. Once in Zurich, spend the evening exploring the historic city centre by the lake, where you can choose from a range of dining options, including Indian, Oriental, Italian, International, and Swiss cuisine.
Day 5 - Zurich - Lucerne - Zurich
Today, we will embark on a journey through some of Switzerland's most breathtaking landscapes, featuring towering mountains and sparkling lakes. Our adventure begins in the Interlaken region, renowned for its mesmerising scenery. We will make a stop in Grindelwald, where you can savour a cup of coffee before we ascend the mountain via cable car. At the summit, enjoy a stroll along a scenic path leading to a suspended bridge. For those who are feeling adventurous, crossing the bridge promises awe-inspiring views of the surrounding glaciers. We will have lunch on the mountain, which is included, before descending.Our next stop is Lucerne, celebrated as one of Switzerland's most picturesque cities. Here, you will have time to explore and appreciate the charming streets and stunning architecture. Afterwards, we will return to Zurich. Note: Our guide will present an optional excursion for those interested in spending a full day exploring, including time in Lucerne and a ride on a rotating cable car to the top of Mount Titlis. At over 3,000 metres, the summit offers stunning vistas of the glacier and the Alps.
Day 6 - Zurich - Bellinzona - Como - Milan
We will depart from Zurich early in the morning, making our way across the Alps to the Italian-speaking region of Switzerland. Our first stop is Bellinzona, famed for its trio of medieval castles, all designated as UNESCO World Heritage Sites. These impressive fortifications, perched on the hills above the city, showcase Bellinzona's strategic importance as an alpine stronghold. You’ll have some free time to explore the charming streets of the town centre. Following this, we will cross into Italy and pause in the picturesque town of Como for lunch. Known as the jewel of Lombardy, Como is celebrated for its stunning gardens by the lake and its magnificent cathedral. Our journey then continues to Milan, where our guide will lead us to the splendid Piazza del Duomo. Here, you’ll have some time to roam at your leisure before we transfer you to your hotel for the evening.
Day 7 - Milan - Pisa - Rome
We continue our adventure by heading to Pisa, where we'll hop onto a small tourist train to reach the Piazza dei Miracoli, also known as the Square of Miracles. Here, you'll have the chance to marvel at one of Italy's most remarkable and beautiful art complexes, including the iconic Leaning Tower of Pisa. Later, we will set off towards Rome, ensuring you arrive in this historic city by late afternoon.
Day 8 - Rome
This morning, we dive into the heart of the Eternal City with a comprehensive three-hour guided tour that marries a leisurely walking exploration of Imperial Rome with a panoramic bus drive. As one of the oldest and most influential cities in Western civilisation, Rome offers a treasure trove of iconic landmarks. Our exploration includes stops at the Arch of Constantine, a glance at the Colosseum's majestic exterior, and the awe-inspiring Imperial Forums. We continue to the historical sites of Circus Maximus, the Baths of Caracalla, the Basilica of Saint Mary Major, and the Pyramid of Cestius, rounding off with Castel Sant'Angelo. We will conclude our tour at Vatican City by 11:00 a.m. For those interested, our guide will propose an optional visit to delve deeper into the wonders of the Vatican Museums and the Sistine Chapel. As the day winds down, we head to the vibrant Trastevere neighbourhood, famed for its inviting eateries and lively ambiance. We will return to the hotel by around 8:30 p.m.
Day 9 - Rome - Madrid
Today, we'll arrange your transfer to the airport for a domestic flight—this is included in your package. Upon your arrival at the destination, we'll promptly escort you to your hotel. Your guide will touch base with you by late afternoon, or you can check the hotel reception for updated information. Please bear in mind that for domestic flights, generally one piece of luggage up to 20 kg is permitted in the hold. Any excess baggage fees must be settled directly with the airline.
Day 10 - Madrid
Your day in the Spanish capital starts with an immersive exploration of Madrid's vibrant heart. We'll traverse iconic sites such as Paseo del Prado, the majestic fountains of Cibeles and Neptuno, the stately Puerta de Alcalá, Plaza de Colón, and the bustling Plaza Mayor. Following this, we'll make our way to the serene Retiro Park, an urban escape where you'll find the picturesque lake and the stunning Palacio de Cristal. Our tour includes a visit to Santiago Bernabéu Stadium, home to the legendary Real Madrid, widely acclaimed as one of the world's finest football clubs. After taking in the sights, the afternoon is yours to continue your adventure in Madrid at your own pace. In the evening, we’ll arrange your transfer back to the hotel, concluding a day well spent in this dazzling city.
Day 11 - Madrid - Zaragoza - Poblet - Barcelona
In the morning, we depart for Aragon, travelling through the picturesque landscapes of Castile. Our first stop is Zaragoza, where you'll have the chance to marvel at the awe-inspiring Cathedral-Basilica of Our Lady of the Pillar. Following this, we journey to Poblet Abbey, a beautifully preserved medieval monastery, where entrance is included. The tranquillity and historic grandeur of the abbey provide a truly enriching experience. Finally, as the day draws to a close, we continue to Barcelona, arriving in the evening, where you'll be free to enjoy the vibrant city atmosphere.
Day 12 - Barcelona
In the morning, we’ll embark on a panoramic tour of Barcelona, celebrated for its unique charm as one of Europe's most captivating cities. Set against the backdrop of the Mediterranean Sea, Barcelona shines with the modernist architectural wonders of Gaudí, the vibrant atmosphere of the Ramblas, and a history enriched by its hosting of the Universal Exposition and the Olympics. Following the tour, you'll have the afternoon to explore the city at your leisure. In the evening, we’ll take you to Maremagnum, a vibrant hub for entertainment and dining situated by the sea, near Plaza de Colón. Here, you can enjoy a relaxed evening wander and choose from an array of dining experiences.
Day 13 - Barcelona
As the day begins with breakfast, our adventure concludes, leaving you with a treasury of cherished memories from your travels.
