Day 1 - Berlin
Welcome to Berlin. Upon arrival, we will transfer you to your hotel, where you can settle in at your own pace. The afternoon is free for you to relax or begin exploring independently. You will find useful information about the start of your tour displayed on the notice boards at the hotel reception.
Please note: This tour may have travellers joining or departing at various points along the route, meaning group composition can change during the tour.
Day 2 - Berlin
Today, we explore Berlin, Germany’s dynamic capital, accompanied by a local guide. From the coach, we’ll see key landmarks including Museum Island, the Television Tower, the main shopping streets in the city centre, the partially destroyed old cathedral, Brandenburg Gate, Reichstag, and the city’s expansive parks. We’ll pause to visit the Holocaust Memorial and the Berlin Wall Memorial Museum—two poignant sites reflecting Germany’s complex 20th-century history. The afternoon is free for you to discover Berlin at your own pace. In the early evening, we provide a transfer to the vibrant Kantstrasse area for your convenience.
Day 3 - Berlin - Dresden - Prague
We travel through forested areas to Dresden, celebrated for its remarkable architecture and artistic heritage, making it a prime destination in Germany. There will be time to visit some of the city's splendid palaces and enjoy lunch at one of the many local restaurants or cafés. Later, we continue into the Czech Republic, arriving in Prague. Upon arrival, we head to the bustling Old Town Square—an energetic hub perfect for your first introduction to the city. You can choose to dine at one of the numerous restaurants nearby offering a variety of international cuisines, including Czech, Chinese, Indian, and Italian, before we return to the hotel.
Day 4 - Prague
Today we’ll explore Prague, often called the Baroque jewel of Europe. Accompanied by a local guide, we’ll take a panoramic tour highlighting the city’s most remarkable monuments, including a visit to Prague Castle, with admission included. Following the tour, we’ll enjoy a boat ride on the Vltava River, also included. The afternoon is yours to discover Prague at your leisure.
Day 5 - Prague - Munich - Innsbruck
We depart early for Bavaria, Germany, arriving in Munich around midday. You’ll have free time to explore the historic city centre and enjoy lunch at your leisure. In the afternoon, we continue into Austria, reaching Innsbruck – the capital of Tyrol nestled in the heart of the Alps. You’ll have time to discover the Old Town and the famous Golden Roof area, followed by the opportunity to dine locally before we return to the hotel.
Day 6 - Innsbruck - Zurich
We begin the day with a visit to the Swarovski Museum, the renowned home of crystal artistry. We’ll explore the museum’s stunning gardens and discover the process behind crafting Swarovski’s exquisite pieces. Afterwards, you’ll have some free time to stroll at your leisure before we continue our journey to Zurich, travelling through the scenic Tyrolean Alps. On arrival, spend your evening in Zurich’s historic city centre by the lake, where you can choose from a wide range of restaurants offering Indian, Oriental, Italian, international, and Swiss cuisine.
Day 7 - Zurich - Lucerne - Zurich
Today’s route showcases some of Switzerland’s most stunning scenery, featuring towering mountains and crystal-clear lakes. We’ll travel through the Interlaken region, with our first stop in the charming village of Grindelwald. Here, we’ll take a moment for coffee before boarding a cable car that ascends the mountain. Once at the top, we’ll follow a winding path to a suspended bridge that offers spectacular views of the surrounding glaciers—crossing it is optional for those feeling adventurous. Lunch is included on the mountain before we descend. Later, we head to Lucerne, one of Switzerland’s most picturesque cities, where you’ll have free time to explore the historic centre at your own pace. We’ll then return to Zurich for the evening. The guide will also offer an optional full-day excursion starting in the morning that includes a visit to Mount Titlis. Here, a rotating cable car takes you to the summit at over 3,000 metres, providing breathtaking alpine views.
Day 8 - Zurich - Bellinzona - Como - Milan
We leave Zurich early, crossing the Alps to reach Switzerland’s Italian-speaking region. Our first stop is Bellinzona, famous for its trio of medieval castles recognised as UNESCO World Heritage Sites. These fortifications, perched on surrounding hills, underline the town’s historic role as a vital alpine fortress. You’ll have some free time to explore the charming streets of Bellinzona’s centre. Next, we cross into Italy and stop in the delightful town of Como for lunch. Nestled beside its lake, Como is known for its beautiful gardens and impressive cathedral, often regarded as the jewel of Lombardy. After lunch, we continue to Milan, where our guide will take us to the grand Piazza del Duomo. You’ll have some time to wander before we transfer you to the hotel for the evening.
Day 9 - Milan - Pisa - Rome
We continue our journey to Pisa, where we take a short tourist train ride to the Piazza dei Miracoli, or Square of Miracles. Here, you’ll have time to admire this remarkable complex of art and architecture, including the famous Leaning Tower of Pisa. Later in the day, we travel on to Rome, arriving in the evening.
Day 10 - Rome
In the morning, we’ll take a three-hour guided tour of Rome, combining a walking exploration of Imperial Rome with a panoramic coach ride. We’ll visit highlights including the Arch of Constantine, the exterior of the Colosseum and Imperial Forums, Circus Maximus, the Baths of Caracalla, Basilica of Saint Mary Major, the Pyramid of Cestius, and Castel Sant’Angelo. The tour concludes at Vatican City around 11:00 a.m., where you may choose to join an optional visit to the Vatican Museums and the Sistine Chapel. Later in the day, we’ll transfer you to the lively Trastevere district, known for its inviting restaurants and vibrant atmosphere. We’ll return to the hotel around 8:30 p.m.
Day 11 - Rome - Madrid
On the agreed time, we’ll transfer you to the airport for your included domestic flight. Upon arrival, a hotel transfer will be provided. Your guide will be in contact later in the afternoon, or you can check the information boards at your hotel reception. Please note that domestic flights usually permit one suitcase of up to 20kg in the hold; any excess baggage must be settled directly with the airline.
Day 12 - Madrid
We begin the morning with a comprehensive tour of central Madrid, taking in key sights such as Paseo del Prado, Plaza de Cibeles, Neptune Fountain, Puerta de Alcalá, Plaza de Colón, and the bustling Plaza Mayor. We then visit Retiro Park, a peaceful green space in the city centre, where we’ll see the lake and the elegant Crystal Palace. Admission is included to Santiago Bernabéu Stadium, home to Real Madrid, widely regarded as one of the world’s premier football clubs. The afternoon is yours to enjoy at leisure. In the evening, we will arrange transfer back to the hotel.
Day 13 - Madrid - Zaragoza - Poblet - Barcelona
We depart Madrid in the morning, travelling through the Castilian region towards Aragón. Our first stop is Zaragoza to admire the impressive Cathedral-Basilica of Our Lady of the Pillar, a key religious and architectural landmark. Afterwards, we continue to Poblet Abbey, one of the best-preserved medieval monasteries, where admission is included. In the evening, we arrive in Barcelona to conclude the day.
Day 14 - Barcelona
We begin the day with a panoramic tour of Barcelona, one of Europe’s most captivating capitals. Facing the Mediterranean Sea, the city is celebrated for Gaudí’s modernist architecture, its vibrant Ramblas, and its rich heritage from the World Expositions and Olympic Games. The tour concludes at Maremagnum, a modern waterfront complex near Columbus Square, where you can enjoy a leisurely stroll through this lively area. The afternoon is free for you to explore at your own pace before we return to the hotel later in the day.
Day 15 - Barcelona - Paris
On day 15, we’ll transfer you to the station for your high-speed train journey from Barcelona to Paris, included in your trip. This comfortable journey takes just over six hours. Upon arrival in Paris, we’ll provide a transfer to your hotel. Your guide will be in touch during the evening, or you can check the information boards at the hotel reception for details. Please note that this train trip is unaccompanied by a guide.
Day 16 - Paris
We’ll begin the day with a visit to the magnificent Palace of Versailles, famed for its exquisite gardens and significant place in French history (entrance not included). Returning to Paris, we’ll explore Montmartre, a lively bohemian district known for its artistic heritage and vibrant cabarets. To conclude, we’ll enjoy a panoramic city tour with a local guide, taking in Paris’s grand avenues and iconic landmarks. After the tour, we’ll return to the hotel. In the evening, you have the option to attend a variety show for a classic Parisian night out.
Day 17 - Paris
We begin the day in central Paris with a visit to the iconic Eiffel Tower, where we’ll take you up to the second floor (tickets included) to enjoy impressive views of the city. Following this, we’ll relax on a scenic boat cruise along the Seine that lasts around one hour and fifteen minutes. The afternoon is yours to explore Paris at your leisure; please note that transfer back to the hotel is not provided. Should queues at the Eiffel Tower be too long, we may adjust the visit time for your convenience.
Day 18 - Paris
After breakfast, your tour concludes, leaving you with lasting memories of your journey.
