Itinerary
Day 1 - Reykjavik
Arrive in Iceland and make your way to Reykjavik. We check in to our hotel for the first night and settle in. You can add an airport transfer during booking, or travel independently. In the evening, you can get acquainted with the capital - explore the lively downtown, dine in cosy restaurants or browse local boutiques and galleries.
Day 2 - The Golden Circle
Today we follow Iceland's famous Golden Circle - a full day guided tour through the rift valley at Þingvellir National Park, the bubbling geothermal area of Geysir where Strokkur erupts every few minutes, and the spectacular Gullfoss waterfall, impressive in every season and especially striking when framed by winter ice. If you are visiting in the darker months, you can add an optional Northern Lights evening excursion. Expert guides track aurora and weather conditions and lead you away from city lights to the best available viewing spots. This outing is usually scheduled for your second night, with flexibility to reschedule if conditions are unfavourable. Please note the Golden Circle tour operates on Tuesdays and Saturdays - depending on your travel dates it may not take place on day 2, which can also affect the order of any optional tours you choose.
Day 3 - Optional Blue Lagoon
Today you can unwind at the world renowned Blue Lagoon - set among lava fields. This optional upgrade can be booked in advance. If you choose to go, your visit includes a return transfer, a mud mask, towel rental and one drink - everything you need for a relaxing soak in the warm, mineral rich waters.
Day 4 - Reykjavik At Leisure
Enjoy a free day in Reykjavik - explore at your own pace - or join an optional full day guided tour along Iceland's dramatic southern coast. You'll take in the cascading Seljalandsfoss and Skogafoss waterfalls, the striking black sands of Reynisfjara beach, and sweeping views of glaciers and volcanoes as you travel past farmlands and rugged cliffs.
Day 5 - Reykjavik At Leisure
Enjoy a free day in Reykjavik or round off your stay with the optional Reykjavik Food Tour - a relaxed walking experience through the city centre. You'll taste traditional dishes such as lamb soup, skyr and, for the adventurous, fermented shark, alongside local specialities at handpicked eateries. Expect engaging stories that add context to each bite - a simple, satisfying way to celebrate Icelandic food culture before you depart.
Day 6 - Reykjavik
Check out and head to Keflavik International Airport for departure. You can pre-book an optional airport transfer in advance - otherwise, make your own way to the airport. Depending on your flight time, you may have some free time in Reykjavik before leaving, but please allow sufficient time for the journey and airport formalities.
