Itinerary
Day 1 - Reykjavik
Upon arrival in Iceland, make your way to your hotel in Reykjavik for your first overnight stay - an optional airport transfer can be prebooked when you book. In the evening, you can discover Reykjavik's cosy cafes, local shops and cultural attractions.
Day 2 - The Golden Circle
Today we set out on the Golden Circle - Iceland's classic sightseeing route and a must for first time visitors. We explore the rift landscapes of Þingvellir National Park, watch the Strokkur geyser erupt, and admire the power of Gullfoss waterfall, often edged with ice in winter.
If you are travelling in the darker months, you can add an evening Northern Lights excursion - local experts will guide you to potential viewing spots away from city lights. This optional tour is usually planned for your second night, with flexibility to move it to a later evening if conditions are not favourable.
Please note that the Golden Circle tour operates on Tuesdays and Saturdays, so it may not always take place on day 2 - the exact day depends on the weekday you book, which will also determine the order of any optional tours you include.
Day 3 - Reykjavik at Leisure
Enjoy a free day in Reykjavik - you set the pace. Explore the city at your leisure or, if you'd like to unwind, you can add a visit to the Blue Lagoon, where steaming, mineral rich waters lie within a lava field. This is an optional add on and can be arranged when you book.
Day 4 - Reykjavik
After breakfast, check out of your hotel and make your way to Keflavik International Airport for your departure. If you've prebooked an optional airport transfer, you'll be collected and taken directly to the terminal - otherwise, allow time to travel independently. Leave Iceland with lasting impressions of its natural wonders.
