Day 1 - Bengaluru - Tirupati
We depart Bengaluru for Tirupati – approximately 250 kilometres, around 5 hours by road. Settle in as we travel through green countryside and small towns. On arrival, we check in to the hotel before visiting the revered Sri Venkateswara Temple, dedicated to Lord Venkateshwara and famed for its grand architecture and status as one of the holiest and wealthiest temples in India. Please note that entry is for Hindus only and a strict dress code applies – men must wear a white dhoti with a full shirt or kurta, and women a saree or salwar kameez with a dupatta.At the temple, we proceed via the Vaikuntam Queue Complex for darshan and observe the rituals that shape the temple’s daily rhythm. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 2 - Tirupati - Bengaluru
From Tirupati we set out on an excursion to Sri Kalahasti Temple, around 40 kilometres away. Revered in Hindu mythology and associated with the element of air, the temple offers a calm, spiritual setting. You should arrange darshan tickets in advance – there is a dedicated counter for NRIs. We explore the temple complex and its intricacies, and learn about the legend of Kannappa Nayanar, a devoted follower of Lord Shiva.After the visit, we drive back to Bengaluru – a journey of roughly 250 kilometres taking around five hours – enjoying the changing landscapes en route. Your tour concludes with a drop off at your hotel in Bengaluru.
