Day 1 - Delhi
On arrival at Delhi airport, our representative will meet you and arrange your transfer to the hotel. Standard check-in is from 2 pm – early check-in is subject to availability.
After settling in, we explore Delhi’s rich history on a guided tour. We visit Qutub Minar – a UNESCO World Heritage site – to admire its towering silhouette and intricate stonework, then continue to Humayun’s Tomb, another UNESCO site showcasing classic Mughal architecture set within formal gardens. We then drive past the President’s House, Parliament and India Gate before returning to the hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 2 - Delhi to Agra & Taj Mahal Visit
After breakfast, we drive from Delhi to Agra – 204 kilometres, around four hours. On arrival, we visit the Taj Mahal to appreciate its ivory–white marble and the story of Emperor Shah Jahan and Mumtaz Mahal. We then continue to Agra Fort to explore its grand Mughal architecture, followed by the elegant Tomb of Itmad–ud–Daula. In the late afternoon, you may choose to visit Mehtab Bagh – a serene garden with panoramic views of the Taj Mahal at sunset. Overnight in Agra.
Day 3 - Fatehpur Sikri, Abhaneri & Jaipur
After breakfast we drive from Agra to Jaipur (about 245 kilometres – around 5 hours), breaking the journey at Fatehpur Sikri, an abandoned Mughal city where we visit Buland Darwaza and Jama Masjid. We then stop in Abhaneri to see Chand Baori, an ancient stepwell noted for its intricate architecture and historic role as a water source. On arrival in Jaipur we check in to the hotel. This evening you can browse the Pink City’s vibrant bazaars and shop for traditional handicrafts if you wish. Overnight in Jaipur.
Day 4 - Jaipur & Amber Fort
After breakfast, we set out to explore Jaipur’s highlights. We begin at Amber Fort – you may choose to ascend on foot or by vehicle – and take in its intricate courtyards and the blend of Rajput and Mughal influences. We then continue to Jaigarh Fort, known for the world’s largest cannon on wheels and wide views over the surrounding hills.
Back in the city, we visit the City Palace complex with its museums and courtyards, followed by Jantar Mantar, the observatory showcasing precise instruments used for astronomical measurements. We pause for photos at the latticed façade of Hawa Mahal – the Palace of Winds – designed for royal women to observe the streets below.
Later, we visit Birla Temple, a modern Hindu temple built in white marble, and spend time in Jaipur’s bustling bazaars. You can browse for textiles, jewellery and handicrafts or sample local street food. We return to the hotel in the evening for an overnight stay in Jaipur.
Day 5 - Pushkar & Udaipur
Jaipur to Udaipur – 405 km – approximately 8 hours. We drive to Udaipur with a stop in Pushkar to explore the sacred lake, the Brahma Temple and the colourful markets, and to witness pilgrim rituals at the ghats. Enjoy views of the Aravalli hills and serene lakes along the way before we arrive in Udaipur and check in to the hotel. The evening is at leisure – you can wander the quaint streets and waterfront promenades or take a relaxed stroll along Lake Pichola. Overnight in Udaipur.
Day 6 - Exploring Udaipur
Today we delve into Udaipur’s heritage, beginning at the City Palace & Museum, where we take in panoramic views of Lake Pichola and explore opulent halls filled with intricate mirror work and royal artefacts. We continue to the finely carved Jagdish Temple, then enjoy the calm of Saheliyon Ki Bari – a graceful garden of fountains and marble pavilions. We take a boat ride on Lake Pichola to Jag Mandir, an elegant island palace with scenic vistas of the lake and surrounding waterfronts. We also visit the Vintage and Classic Car Museum to view a notable collection of historic automobiles. We round off the day with a relaxed walk through Udaipur’s lively markets, ideal for picking up local handicrafts and souvenirs. In the evening, you may choose to watch a traditional Rajasthani folk dance performance or take a sunset boat ride on Lake Pichola. Overnight in Udaipur at the hotel.
Day 7 - Return to Delhi
After a leisurely breakfast, you can take a final stroll through Udaipur’s colourful lanes and enjoy last views of the lakes and skyline. If time allows, you may visit the hilltop Monsoon Palace for panoramic views of the city – including sunset when schedules permit. We then arrange your transfer to Udaipur airport for your flight to Delhi, and assist with any inter-terminal transfers and transit for a smooth onward journey.
