Day 1 - Rome
Welcome to Rome. Upon arrival, we will transfer you to your hotel. Later, our guide will meet you to provide all the necessary information about your stay. You can also find details on the information board in the hotel reception area. In the evening, we will take you to Via Cavour, an ideal place to get a first taste of Rome’s vibrant atmosphere. Here, you’ll find a diverse range of restaurants offering Italian, Indian, Chinese, and international cuisine.
Please note: This tour may have travellers joining or departing at various points along the route, meaning group composition can change during the tour.
Day 2 - Rome
This morning, we’ll embark on a three-hour guided tour of Rome, combining a walking exploration of Imperial Rome with a panoramic bus ride. You’ll see some of the city’s most iconic landmarks—the Arch of Constantine, the exterior of the Colosseum, the Imperial Forums, Circus Maximus, Baths of Caracalla, Basilica of Saint Mary Major, the Pyramid of Cestius, and Castel Sant’Angelo. The tour concludes at Vatican City around 11:00 a.m., where you can opt to visit the Vatican Museums and the Sistine Chapel. Later in the day, we’ll transfer you to Trastevere, a vibrant neighbourhood known for its cosy restaurants and lively atmosphere. We’ll return to the hotel by approximately 8:30 p.m.
Day 3 - Rome - Florence
Today we leave Rome and travel north through scenic landscapes to Florence. Upon arrival, we head straight to Piazzale Michelangelo for stunning panoramic views of the city. From there, we walk down to the historic centre, where after some time for lunch, we join a guided walking tour with a local expert. Highlights include the Ponte Vecchio, the Duomo, and Piazza della Signoria, showcasing Florence’s rich Renaissance heritage. Following the tour, you have free time to explore at your own pace. In the evening, the area offers a variety of dining options featuring both local and international cuisine.
Day 4 - Florence - Venice
Today we travel from Florence to Venice, crossing the scenic Apennine Mountains. On arrival in Venice, we will take a boat across the Giudecca Canal to the island itself. With a local guide, we’ll explore the magnificent St. Mark’s Square and then visit the Murano Glass Factory to learn about the traditional glassmaking techniques. Afterwards, you will have some free time to explore Venice at your own pace. Our accommodation for the night will be in the Mestre district.
Day 5 - Venice - Innsbruck - Zurich
We leave Venice and travel north to Austria, stopping in Innsbruck. Here, you’ll have time to explore the historic town centre and enjoy lunch at your leisure. Afterwards, we continue through the scenic Tyrolean region before crossing the border into Switzerland, arriving in Zurich for the evening.
Day 6 - Zurich - Lucerne - Zurich
Today’s journey showcases some of Switzerland’s most striking landscapes, with towering mountains and crystal-clear lakes. We begin in the Interlaken region, stopping first at Grindelwald, where we’ll pause for a coffee before taking a cable car up the mountain. Once there, we will stroll along a winding path leading to a suspended bridge – a thrilling crossing for those who wish to enjoy exceptional views of the surrounding glaciers. Lunch is included on the mountain before we descend. Afterwards, we continue to Lucerne, one of Switzerland’s most picturesque cities, where you’ll have time to explore the charming streets and waterfront at your leisure. We then return to Zurich. For those interested, an optional full-day excursion will be offered, including a morning start, additional free time in Lucerne, and a cable car ride to the summit of Mount Titlis at over 3,000 metres, providing breathtaking alpine vistas of glaciers and the surrounding Alps.
Day 7 - Zurich - Strasbourg - Paris
We depart from Zurich and travel to the Alsace region of France, arriving in its charming capital, Strasbourg. This city offers a unique blend of French and German heritage, which you can explore at your own pace during a period of free time. Afterwards, we continue onward to Paris, where we will arrive in the evening.
Day 8 - Paris
Today, we explore the history and charm of France beginning with a visit to the magnificent Palace of Versailles—famous for its impressive gardens (admission is not included). On our return to Paris, we’ll visit Montmartre, a picturesque bohemian district known for its artistic heritage and lively cabarets. To appreciate Paris’s splendour, we’ll take a panoramic city tour with a local guide, passing through grand avenues and iconic landmarks. After the tour, we’ll return to the hotel. In the evening, you have the option to attend a variety show for an entertaining conclusion to the day.
Day 9 - Paris
We begin the day in central Paris with a visit to the iconic Eiffel Tower. You’ll have the opportunity to ascend to the second floor of this remarkable iron landmark, with tickets included. Afterwards, we’ll enjoy a leisurely one hour and fifteen-minute boat cruise along the Seine, offering a unique perspective of the city’s monuments. The afternoon is yours to explore Paris at your own pace; please note transfers back to the hotel are not included. Should waiting times at the Eiffel Tower be extensive, we may adjust the visit to a later time or the following day for your convenience.
Day 10 - Paris
After breakfast, your tour concludes, leaving you with wonderful memories of your journey.
