Itinerary
Day 1 - Welcome to Rome!

Make your own way to the hotel in Rome and settle in ahead of the tour. The rest of the day is yours to start enjoying Rome - take a stroll near your hotel or find somewhere for dinner.
Day 2 - Roma to Firenze

Rome - Assisi - Siena - Florence. This morning we set off at 7:15am by deluxe coach for Assisi, a medieval town encircled by ancient walls. Here we visit the Basilica of St Francis, admiring its celebrated frescoes by Giotto and Cimabue. There is also free time for lunch, which you can enjoy wherever takes your fancy.
From Assisi we travel to Siena, a UNESCO-listed city famous for its shell-shaped Piazza del Campo and the Palio horse race held there each year. We then journey on through the Tuscan countryside to Florence, checking in to our hotel on arrival.
Day 3 - Florence sightseeing & optional Pisa

Today we explore Florence, the cradle of the Renaissance. We visit the Duomo with Brunelleschi's Dome, Giotto's Bell Tower and the Baptistery, and take in Piazza della Signoria, Palazzo Vecchio and the Santa Croce Basilica. There is free time around the middle of the day to find lunch.
In the afternoon, the choice is yours - spend the time exploring more of Florence, or take the optional excursion to Pisa to see its famous Leaning Tower and the Piazza dei Miracoli. Your evening is also free, with dinner at a place of your choosing.
Day 4 - Bologna & Venice

Florence - Bologna - Venice. We begin the day by travelling to Bologna, a city known for its culture and culinary excellence. On foot, we make our way from Piazza Malpighi to Piazza Maggiore, admiring the San Petronio Basilica and the Palazzo del Podesta along the way.
You then have free time for lunch - a perfect chance to try the city's renowned street food and get a real taste of Bolognese cooking.In the afternoon we continue to Venice, where we check in to our hotel and have time to relax.
Day 5 - Venice

This morning we transfer to Piazza San Marco to discover the sights of Venice on a guided walking tour. With our guide we see the Doge's Palace from the outside and cross the famous Bridge of Sighs.
Afterwards you have some free time to explore - wander the narrow canalside lanes or stop somewhere for lunch. We then return to the hotel for the night.
Day 6 - Tuscany's wine region

Venice - Tuscany wine region - Rome. We leave Venice this morning and travel through Tuscany to Montepulciano, a hilltop town known for its Vino Nobile wine and far-reaching views. On arrival you have free time to stroll through the historic centre and find somewhere for lunch.
Later we make the journey back to Rome, where the escorted tour comes to an end. We check in to our hotel for the night.
Day 7 - Rome

Today is yours to explore Rome as you wish. With so many monuments and a historic centre full of things to see, you can shape the day around whatever appeals - from famous landmarks to quiet backstreets and piazzas.
Day 8 - Farewell

After a final breakfast at the hotel, your tour comes to an end.
