Kick off in Marrakech and wrap up in Marrakech – a 5 day sweep from medinas to desert. You’ll explore Taroudant’s ramparts and souks, wander the Tiout Oasis with its palms and Berber villages, and trace the Atlantic past argan groves to Agadir’s seafront. In Essaouira, expect to see UNESCO listed lanes, the Skala ramparts and a busy fishing port, with time for coffee by the ocean. Then swap sea breeze for the Agafay Desert – think stony dunes, poolside lounging, sunset colours and dinner under the stars. A relaxed pace, varied scenery and culture packed stops make this a brilliant short escape.

Itinerary
Day 1 - Marrakech
We arrive at Marrakech Airport and meet our local representative before we transfer into the city and check in to our central hotel. We settle in and take our first impressions of the vibrant Red City. At the scheduled welcome meeting, we meet our guide and fellow travellers, review the itinerary and gather practical information for the days ahead. Afterwards, you have free time in Marrakech – relax at the hotel, explore at your own pace, wander nearby streets, browse local shops or unwind by the pool.
Day 2 - Marrakech - Taroudant
We leave Marrakech in the morning and drive to the south west towards Taroudant, passing argan forests, open plains and low hills. We enjoy scenic views with short comfort stops along the way. From Taroudant we continue into the foothills of the Anti–Atlas towards Tiout, watching the outlook shift from town streets to palm groves and village farmland. In the lush Tiout Oasis, we explore on foot among soaring palms and traditional irrigation channels, meet local Berber families and visit the historic kasbah on the hill overlooking the valley. In the afternoon we return to Taroudant, passing rural villages framed by the Anti–Atlas foothills. Back in the city we discover the compact medina and souks – known for silver jewellery, leather goods and spices – stroll along the impressive ramparts, admire gates such as Bab El Kasbah and Bab Targhount, and experience everyday life in Assarag Square.
Day 3 - Taroudant - Agadir - Essaouira
We depart Taroudant and drive through fertile valleys and argan groves towards the Atlantic coast. Reaching Agadir – a modern seaside city with a long crescent beach – we take a break to stretch our legs along the seafront promenade, enjoying ocean views, fresh air and a relaxed coastal atmosphere. We then follow the Atlantic shoreline north from Agadir towards Essaouira, passing fishing villages, surf beaches and sweeping sea views as the road winds through argan forests and coastal hills. On arrival in Essaouira, we join a first guided walk through its UNESCO–listed medina. We explore the Skala de la Kasbah ramparts, atmospheric lanes and the lively fishing port with its colourful boats and fresh catches. After we check in, you have the rest of the day at leisure – you can relax by the ocean, browse artisan workshops or settle into a café in the medina.
Day 4 - Essaouira
You have free time in Essaouira – you can relax by the ocean, browse artisan workshops or linger in a café in the medina. We then leave the coast and drive inland towards the Agafay Desert on the outskirts of Marrakech, travelling through shifting scenery from Atlantic plains to rocky hills that border the desert. On arrival, we settle into our tented camp and take in the peaceful, stony landscape – you can unwind by the pool as the light softens – and we watch the colours change at sunset before savouring a traditional dinner under the stars.
Day 5 - Marrakech
We depart the Agafay Desert and drive back to Marrakech this morning. On arrival the tour arrangements officially end. You then have free time in Marrakech to relax at the hotel or explore at your own pace – you might wander nearby streets, browse local shops or simply unwind by the pool.
