Cape Town Private Highlights

Once you have been collected from your hotel, you begin with a Table Mountain cable car experience, spending around an hour taking in the views from the top with your guide. From here, you continue through Mouille Point, Three Anchor Bay, Sea Point, Bantry Bay and Clifton, stopping for photos at Maiden's Cove, before continuing through Camps Bay to Hout Bay, where you have an hour to explore the harbour, with the option of a seal island boat trip included at no extra cost.

Please note: the seal island boat trip is not recommended in rough seas due to safety concerns.

You continue around Chapman's Peak, stopping for around 15 minutes at the viewpoint.

Please note: use of Chapman's Peak Drive is subject to the road being open; guests are asked to stay within demarcated areas throughout the tour for safety.

A short stop follows in Noordhoek, where you have the option of coffee at a local café at an additional cost, before continuing through Kommetjie, Misty Cliffs and Scarborough, with a quick stop at an ostrich farm along the way.

The tour continues to the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve, where you explore the Dias Cross, the region's fauna and flora, and the meeting point of the cold Benguela and warm Agulhas currents, with a chance of spotting baboons and other wildlife.

Please note: guests are advised to keep a safe distance from baboons and avoid feeding them, as these are wild animals.

You have the option of lunch at a restaurant here at an additional cost, along with a funicular ride. Continuing on, you visit Boulders Beach to see one of Cape Town's largest penguin colonies, before returning via Fish Hoek, Kalk Bay and Muizenberg. The day concludes with a private wine tasting at Groot Constantia Wine Estate, one of the region's best-known wineries.

At 8 am, you are collected from your accommodation and transferred to the Nelson Mandela Gateway to Robben Island in the V&A Waterfront's Silo District, joining the queue at 8:30 am ahead of a 9 am ferry departure. The 30-minute crossing brings you to Robben Island, where the full prison museum tour lasts around 3 hours, giving you the chance to explore the island, see Nelson Mandela's former prison cell, and follow the Long March to Freedom, before returning to the Waterfront by ferry.

Afterwards, you continue to Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens, one of South Africa's most celebrated gardens, set at the foot of Table Mountain.

Please note: you may wish to bring a picnic, or purchase a pre-packed option from the on-site deli, at your own expense.

You spend the afternoon relaxing on the lawns or walking through the gardens, before being dropped off at your accommodation.

At 6:30 am, you are collected from your hotel for the drive along the N1 to Aquila Game Reserve. On arrival, you receive a welcome non-alcoholic drink and complete a consent form, before enjoying a buffet breakfast.

Please note: all food served at the reserve is halal, with no pork products used.

You then join a shared game vehicle alongside around 12 other guests, spending 2 to 3 hours with your game rangers in search of wildlife.

Following the game drive, a full buffet lunch is served in the main restaurant, with options to suit most dietary requirements, including vegetarians. Afterwards, you head back towards Cape Town via the Cape Winelands, stopping for a complimentary private wine tasting in Stellenbosch.
