After the tour, we take an included boat ride on the Guadalquivir – a relaxed cruise with panoramic views of the city. In the evening, you can choose to attend a flamenco tablao.
Day 3 - Seville - Carmona - Cordoba
After breakfast, we leave Seville for Carmona – a town with more than 3,000 years of history, noted for Mudéjar and Renaissance architecture – for a short stroll through its historic centre. We continue to Almodóvar del Río to visit its imposing Arab castle – admission and taxi ride included – with spectacular views over the Guadalquivir Valley. We then travel to Córdoba, former capital of the Caliphate. After lunch, we join a guided tour of the Mosque–Cathedral – admission included – a landmark of both Islamic and Christian art, and we walk through the Jewish Quarter, known for its narrow streets and flower-filled patios. You’ll have free time to wander before we head to the hotel.
Day 4 - Cordoba - Baena - Granada
After breakfast, we’ll travel through vast olive groves to Baena – a town with Roman roots renowned for its high‑quality olive oil. We’ll visit the Núñez de Prado Olive Oil Mill, one of the oldest in the Mediterranean, housed in an 18th century building. Here we’ll learn about olive oil production and enjoy a tasting of pan con aceite – bread with olive oil. We leave Granada and cross the Sierra Nevada, enjoying sweeping mountain views before following the Mediterranean along the Costa Tropical – a coastline whose mild year-round microclimate supports crops such as guava, mango and avocado, and formerly sugar cane. We stop in Nerja to take in its cliffs and coastal scenery, then continue to Frigiliana, considered one of Andalusia’s most beautiful villages, with steep lanes and whitewashed houses. We then travel on to Málaga, capital of the Costa del Sol – known for its many museums, as the birthplace of Picasso, and for the unfinished cathedral La Manquita, the “One-Armed Lady”. We then reach Ronda, perched above the dramatic Tajo Gorge. A typical lunch is included, after which you can take a leisurely stroll through the town.
