Day 1 - Madrid
Welcome to Madrid. Upon arrival at the airport, we’ll transfer you to your hotel where you’ll have some free time before the tour begins. Please check the information boards in the hotel reception for details about the welcome meeting with your guide and fellow travellers. In the evening, we’ll provide a transfer to Plaza Mayor and La Latina, known for their vibrant nightlife and tapas bars. You can choose to dine at a restaurant of your choice, with options including Indian, Chinese, Spanish and Middle Eastern cuisine.
Please note: This tour may have travellers joining or departing at various points along the route, meaning group composition can change during the tour.
Day 2 - Madrid
We begin the day with a thorough tour of central Madrid, taking in key landmarks such as Paseo del Prado, the impressive Cibeles and Neptuno fountains, Puerta de Alcalá, Plaza de Colón, and Plaza Mayor. We then visit Retiro Park, a peaceful green space in the heart of the city, where we’ll see the lake and the Palacio de Cristal. Included in today’s programme is admission to Santiago Bernabéu Stadium, the renowned home of Real Madrid football club. The afternoon is yours to enjoy at your leisure. In the evening, we’ll provide a transfer back to the hotel.
Day 3 - Madrid - Zaragoza - Poblet - Barcelona
This morning, we travel from Madrid through the Castile region towards Aragon. Our first stop is Zaragoza to admire the Cathedral-Basilica of Our Lady of the Pillar, a remarkable Baroque landmark. We then continue to Poblet Abbey, one of the best-preserved medieval monasteries, where admission is included. After exploring the abbey’s peaceful grounds, we proceed to Barcelona, arriving in the evening to settle in for the night.
Day 4 - Barcelona
We start the day with a panoramic tour of Barcelona, a vibrant city on the Mediterranean coast celebrated for its modernist architecture by Gaudí. You’ll see key sights including the lively La Rambla and learn about the city’s transformation through past World Expositions and the Olympic Games. The tour concludes at Maremagnum, a contemporary leisure and dining complex beside the sea near Columbus Square, where you can take some time to explore the bustling waterfront. The afternoon is free for you to enjoy at your own pace before returning to the hotel.
Day 5 - Barcelona - Paris
We’ll transfer you to the station at the scheduled time for your included high-speed train journey from Barcelona to Paris. In just over six hours of comfortable travel, you’ll reach the French capital. Upon arrival, we’ll provide a transfer to your hotel. Your guide will get in touch with you in the evening, or you can check the information boards at the hotel reception. Please note, the train journey is unaccompanied by a guide.
Day 6 - Paris
Today we explore the rich history of France beginning with a visit to the magnificent Palace of Versailles. Although admission is not included, you can take time to admire its renowned gardens and grand architecture. On our return to Paris, we visit Montmartre, a distinctive bohemian district celebrated for its artistic heritage and lively cabaret scene. To capture the full splendour of the city, we then take a panoramic tour with a local guide, showcasing Paris’s broad avenues and iconic landmarks. After the tour, we return to the hotel. In the evening, you may choose to attend an optional variety show for a taste of Parisian nightlife.
Day 7 - Paris
We begin the day in central Paris with a visit to the iconic Eiffel Tower, where we go up to the second floor—tickets are included. Next, we enjoy a relaxing one hour and fifteen-minute boat cruise along the Seine, offering a unique perspective of the city’s landmarks. The afternoon is free for you to explore at your leisure; please note transfers back to the hotel are not included. Should wait times at the Eiffel Tower be long, we may adjust the visit to a different time or day for your convenience. As the tour concludes, take a moment to reflect on the wonderful memories you have made. Please check your flight details in case you need to arrange an additional night in Paris.
