Day 1 - Arrival in Cardiff
Once you have arrived in Cardiff, the capital of Wales, make your way to the hotel for check-in. You will have some time at leisure to relax before meeting your fellow travellers and tour leader for a tour briefing. Afterwards, we will enjoy dinner at our hotel.
Please note: The itinerary is subject to change. Occasionally, we make adjustments to enhance our guests’ experience. Additionally, local events may require us to modify certain dates during the season. Rest assured, these changes will not compromise the quality of the experience. We will do our utmost to make their stay even more memorable.
Day 2 - Cardiff Walking Tour

This morning, we will embark on a walking tour of Cardiff, exploring the history, culture, and modern side of the Welsh capital. As we make our way through the city centre, we take in historic landmarks, elegant arcades, lively markets, and hidden corners that reflect Cardiff’s character and heritage.
We then visit Cardiff Castle, where you will have time to explore at your own pace. From its Roman origins to its Victorian transformation, the castle offers a fascinating insight into centuries of Welsh history through its medieval towers, lavish interiors, and historic grounds.
Later, we head to Cardiff Bay, taking in modern landmarks including the Wales Millennium Centre and the Senedd, home of the Welsh Parliament, before stopping for lunch at a local restaurant.
This afternoon, we visit The Royal Mint Experience to discover how British coins are designed and produced, learn more about the history of British currency, and create our own souvenir coin.
Returning to Cardiff, you will have free time to explore at your own pace. You may wish to go shopping, visit a museum, or relax in one of the city’s cafés before an evening at leisure in the Welsh capital.
Day 3 - Pembrokeshire, Tenby & St David's
Cardiff - Pembrokeshire Coast National Park - Tenby - St. David's. After breakfast, we depart for Pembrokeshire and visit a traditional Welsh Lovespoon workshop, where we learn about the history and craftsmanship behind one of Wales’ most recognised cultural traditions. Skilled artisans share the techniques used to create these hand-carved wooden symbols, once given as tokens of love and affection.
We then continue to the seaside town of Tenby, known for its colourful harbour, medieval walls, and coastal setting. Here, you will have time to enjoy lunch and explore the town’s charming streets at your own pace.
Later, we travel to St David's, Britain’s smallest city and an important religious centre for centuries. We visit St David's Cathedral and the ruins of the Bishop’s Palace, discovering the city’s rich spiritual history and impressive medieval architecture.
This evening, we gather for dinner at a local pub in St David's with our fellow travellers.
Day 4 - Welsh Coastlines & Heritage Railways

St. David's - Aberaeron - Aberystwyth. Today, we travel along the Welsh coast to Aberaeron, a picturesque harbour town known for its colourful Georgian architecture and seaside setting. Here, you will have time to explore at your own pace, whether that’s browsing independent shops, walking around the harbour, or relaxing in one of the town’s cafés.
We then continue to Aberystwyth, where we stroll along the promenade with views across Cardigan Bay towards Constitution Hill and the historic pier. We also visit the ruins of Aberystwyth Castle, a 13th-century fortress overlooking the coastline and an important reminder of Wales’s medieval past.
After free time for lunch and to explore the town, we visit the National Library of Wales, home to an extensive collection of rare manuscripts, books, and archives that preserve the story of Wales and its cultural heritage.
Later, we board the historic Vale of Rheidol Steam Train for a scenic journey through the Welsh countryside and into the Cambrian Mountains, finishing at the legendary Devil’s Bridge.
Tonight, we will enjoy dinner together at our hotel or a local restaurant.
Day 5 - Portmeirion & Snowdonia National Park

Aberystwyth - Snowdonia National Park - Llandudno. We journey to the village of Portmeirion, an Italian-inspired coastal retreat known for its colourful architecture, peaceful gardens, and waterfront setting. You will have free time to explore the village at your own pace before we continue through North Wales. Depending on timings, we will stop for lunch either in Portmeirion or in the nearby village of Beddgelert.
We then continue through Eryri, also known as Snowdonia National Park, travelling among rugged mountain scenery, glacial lakes, and sweeping valleys as we make our way through one of Wales’s most spectacular landscapes.
Later, we stop in Betws-y-Coed, often known as the gateway to Eryri. Surrounded by woodland and rivers, the village is a popular base in the national park, with time to browse local shops, enjoy a café, or simply take in the scenery.
From here, we continue to Llandudno. This evening, we will enjoy dinner together at our hotel with our fellow travellers.
Day 6 - Anglesey & North Wales Heritage

Llandudno - Anglesey - Caernarfon - Llandudno. This morning, we make our way to Anglesey, known in Welsh as Ynys Môn, an island celebrated for its agricultural heritage and strong cultural identity.
Our first stop is the village of Llanfair PG, officially known as Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch, famous for having one of the longest place names in the world. We have time to visit the well-known railway station sign and explore the village before continuing to Halen Môn Sea Salt, where we learn about the traditional harvesting methods behind this internationally recognised Welsh sea salt.
We then travel to the historic town of Caernarfon, dominated by its impressive medieval castle overlooking the River Seiont. Here, we stop for a traditional pub lunch and enjoy time to take in the atmosphere of this historic North Wales town.
Later, we return to Llandudno to visit the Penderyn Whisky Distillery and discover the craft behind one of Wales’s best-known whiskies. Alternatively, you may choose to spend the afternoon at leisure, perhaps relaxing at the hotel or taking the optional cable car ride up the Great Orme for sweeping coastal views.
This evening is at leisure in Llandudno. You may wish to stroll along the promenade, visit a local bar, or enjoy dinner at one of the town’s restaurants.
Day 7 - Gardens, Castles & Coastal Wales

Llandudno - Conwy - Llandudno. We begin the day with a visit to Bodnant Garden, one of Wales’s most celebrated gardens, set against the backdrop of Snowdonia National Park. With its landscaped terraces, ponds, woodland, and colourful planting, the gardens offer a peaceful start to the day and beautiful views across the surrounding countryside.
We then continue to the historic town of Conwy, where you will have free time to explore at your own pace and enjoy lunch in one of the town’s cafés or restaurants. Later, we visit Conwy Castle, part of the UNESCO-listed Castles and Town Walls of King Edward in Gwynedd. Built in the 13th century by Edward I, the fortress overlooks the harbour and surrounding landscape, offering a fascinating insight into medieval Wales.
This afternoon, you will have free time back in Llandudno to explore at leisure. You may wish to stroll along the Victorian pier, wander through the town’s elegant streets, or take in the coastal views from the Great Orme.
Tonight, we gather for a farewell dinner at a local restaurant, reflecting on our journey through Wales with our fellow travellers.
Day 8 - Hwyl fawr Wales
After our final breakfast, it’s time to say ‘hwyl fawr’, farewell to Wales as our journey together comes to an end.
For your onward journey, optional transfers are available to Chester, Liverpool, and Manchester, including Liverpool and Manchester Airports. You can also be dropped at Llandudno Junction railway station, which offers direct rail connections to London. Safe travels!
