Day 1 - London
On arrival in London, we will transfer you to your hotel where you’ll have some free time to settle in. In the afternoon, you can find important information about the start of your tour on the notice boards at the hotel reception. This allows you to prepare comfortably for the days ahead at your own pace.
Please note: This tour may have travellers joining or departing at various points along the route, meaning group composition can change during the tour.
Day 2 - London
We begin the day with a panoramic tour of London led by a local guide, offering insight into the city’s rich culture and history. You will see iconic landmarks including the Houses of Parliament, the River Thames, and Buckingham Palace, where there is a chance to witness the Changing of the Guard, depending on the schedule. In the evening, we will meet at Piccadilly for a walk through Leicester Square, Chinatown, and Soho — areas known for their vibrant atmosphere, theatres, and entertainment options. You will have plenty of restaurants to choose from for dinner before we return to the hotel.
Day 3 - London - Colchester - Colchester - Volendam Ferry
We begin the day with a visit to the British Museum, one of the world’s oldest institutions, where we’ll explore artefacts representing diverse cultures from across the globe. Following some free time for lunch, we travel to Camden, known for its vibrant and eclectic street market. There, you can browse an array of unique items and enjoy lunch at one of the market’s many food stalls or small restaurants. At around 4:00 p.m., we set off for Colchester, England’s oldest recorded town, and take a leisurely walk through its historic streets. Later, we continue to Harwich to board the ferry for an overnight crossing to the Netherlands, staying in en suite cabins. Please note that due to ferry cabin availability, the itinerary may be adjusted, with possible travel to Amsterdam via a daytime ferry and an overnight stay in Antwerp, or alternatively by train or flight.
Day 4 - Colchester - Volendam Ferry - Volendam - Amsterdam
We arrive in the Netherlands at Hoek van Holland around 8 am and visit Volendam, a quaint fishing village known for its traditional charm. Afterwards, we travel to Amsterdam for a guided tour that showcases several highlights: the iconic windmill and Rembrandt statue, the elegant South District, and the historic diamond cutting district near Museum Square. The coach tour concludes in the city centre, where you will have free time to explore at your leisure.
Day 5 - Amsterdam - Hamelin - Berlin
We leave Amsterdam and travel towards Germany, stopping first in Hamelin. This charming town is famous for its connection to the Brothers Grimm fairy tale of the Pied Piper, with streets and shops that echo the story’s medieval atmosphere. Continuing on, we pass through Marienborn, the former border crossing that divided East and West Germany until reunification in 1990. We reach Berlin by evening, where your evening and overnight stay await.
Day 6 - Berlin
Today we explore Berlin, Germany’s dynamic capital, with a local guide. From the coach, we’ll take in key sights including Museum Island, the Television Tower, the main shopping streets in the city centre, the ruins of the old cathedral destroyed in World War II, the Brandenburg Gate, the Reichstag building, and the city’s extensive parks. We’ll pause to visit the Holocaust Memorial and the Berlin Wall Memorial Museum—two poignant reminders of Germany’s history in the 20th century. The afternoon is yours to discover Berlin at your own pace. Later, we’ll transfer you to the lively Kantstrasse area for the evening.
Day 7 - Berlin - Dresden - Prague
We’ll travel through forested landscapes en route to Dresden, a city celebrated for its remarkable architecture and art heritage, making it one of Germany’s prime cultural destinations. You’ll have time to visit some of its grand palaces and enjoy lunch at a choice of local restaurants or cafés. Later, we continue to the Czech Republic, arriving in Prague. We’ll head to Old Town Square, a lively hub filled with historic charm and bustling activity—perfect for your first taste of Prague. You can choose to dine at one of the many restaurants offering Czech and international cuisine before we return to the hotel.
Day 8 - Prague
Today, we explore Prague, often regarded as the Baroque jewel of Europe. With a local guide, we’ll take a panoramic tour of the city’s most remarkable landmarks. Included in the itinerary is a visit to Prague Castle, one of the largest ancient castles in the world. Afterwards, we’ll enjoy a scenic boat ride on the Vltava River. In the afternoon, you’ll have free time to discover more of the city at your own pace.
Day 9 - Prague - Munich - Innsbruck
We’ll leave Prague early and head towards Bavaria, Germany. Around midday, we arrive in Munich where you’ll have free time to explore the historic city centre and enjoy lunch at your leisure. In the afternoon, we continue into Austria and reach Innsbruck, the capital of Tyrol nestled in the heart of the Alps. You’ll have time to wander through the Old Town and the area around the Golden Roof, followed by dinner before returning to the hotel.
Day 10 - Innsbruck - Salzburg
Today we’ll visit the Swarovski Museum, home to the world-famous crystal brand. Admission is included as we explore the museum’s striking gardens and discover the craftsmanship behind these exquisite crystal creations. Afterward, you’ll have free time to wander the historic centre of Innsbruck. Our journey continues along scenic mountain roads to Kitzbühel, a well-known Tyrolean town celebrated for its ski resort and the legendary Hahnenkamm Race, one of the most prestigious alpine skiing events worldwide. We’ll arrive in Salzburg by the end of the day.
Day 11 - Salzburg - Lake Traunsee - Vienna
We begin the day in Salzburg, exploring the city famously associated with Mozart. The Renaissance and Baroque architecture of the city centre unfolds beneath the imposing fortress, offering a glimpse into its rich cultural heritage. We then travel through a picturesque landscape of lakes and mountains to reach St Wolfgang, a well-known pilgrimage town in Austria. Continuing to Traunkirchen, set beside the stunning Traunsee Lake, we take an included cruise to admire four of the lake’s castles before disembarking at Gmunden. From there, we journey onwards to Vienna, arriving in the evening to settle in for the night.
Day 12 - Vienna
We’ll begin the day with a panoramic tour of Vienna, guided by a local expert. You’ll experience the city’s grand avenues, elegant palaces, expansive parks and lively central districts. In the afternoon, you’ll have free time to explore at your leisure. Afterward, we’ll transfer you to the Grinzing district—once a separate wine-growing village, now part of the city—famed for its traditional taverns. You’ll enjoy free time here to choose your own dining experience.
Day 13 - Vienna
After breakfast, your tour concludes, leaving you with lasting memories of your journey.
