Day 1 - Arrival in Baku & Evening City Views
Once you have arrived at Heydar Aliyev International Airport, you will be met and transferred to the hotel for check-in. You will then have some free time to start exploring, grab a meal or relax.
This evening you will visit Highland Park for elevated views across the city skyline, including the illuminated Flame Towers, as well as Martyrs' Lane and the Eternal Flame Monument. You will also see the Heydar Aliyev Cultural Center, Baku Conference Center, Boulevard, Little Venice, the Carpet Museum, Baku Crystal Hall, Flag Square and the Baku Ferris Wheel along the Caspian Sea, before returning to your hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 2 - Baku City Tour
Today, you will explore the past, present and future of Baku on a guided city tour, tracing the city’s development from the 5th century through the Soviet period to independence.
You will begin in the Old City, the historic walled centre of Baku, where you will see the House of Baku Khans, Bukhara and Multani Caravanserais, former merchant stops, Maiden Tower, the city’s landmark structure, St. Bartholomew Church, Juma Mosque and Muhammad Mosque, Aga Mikayil Bath House, the Miniature Books Museum and the Palace of the Shirvanshahs, a former royal residence.
You will then visit the Heydar Aliyev Cultural Center, known for its distinctive modern architecture, followed by Highland Park for elevated views over the city. The tour continues to Baku Boulevard along the Caspian Sea, where you will visit Little Venice with its canals, before stopping at the Carpet Museum, showcasing Azerbaijan’s carpet-making heritage.
Your final stop is Nizami Street and Fountain Square, a lively central area. After the tour, you will be transferred to your hotel.
Day 3 - Mountains or Countryside Escape
Baku - Shamakhi - Gabala - Baku/ Baku - Guba - Gusar - Baku. This morning, you will have the choice of travelling to Shamakhi and Gabala or Guba and Gusar Shahdag, depending on your preference for scenery and seasonal activities. This tour is suited to those interested in nature and history, with snow landscapes in winter and green, cooler conditions in other seasons.
If you choose the Shamakhi and Gabala route, you will first stop at Juma Mosque, the first mosque in Azerbaijan, before continuing the drive to Gabala. On arrival, you will visit Seven Beauties Waterfall, a multi-tiered cascade set within forested surroundings, followed by Nohur Lake, known for its calm setting and mountain views. Your final stop is Tufandag Mountain, where you will take a cable car for views over the surrounding landscape. After the tour, you will return to Baku and be dropped off at your hotel.
Alternatively, you can choose the Guba and Gusar Shahdag route. Your first stop will be Beshbarmaq Mountain, also known as Five Finger Mountain, a distinctive natural landmark. You will then continue to Qechresh Forest, a scenic woodland area, followed by Chenlibel Lake in Guba, set within a peaceful natural setting. Your final stop is Shahdag Mountain Resort, known for its mountain scenery and seasonal activities. After the tour, you will return to Baku and be dropped off at your hotel.
Day 4 - Departure from Baku
After your final breakfast, you may have some free time for last-minute shopping, further exploring, or simply relaxing before your transfer to the airport for your onward flight. Safe travels!
