Itinerary
Day 1 - Guangzhou
Upon arrival at Guangzhou airport or railway station, please provide your arrival details in advance so we can arrange your pick-up. An English-speaking guide will meet you and accompany you on a private transfer to your hotel in Guangzhou, which takes approximately one hour. After settling in, you may choose to relax and enjoy the hotel's facilities or, if you prefer, take a stroll through the city's vibrant streets to get a first impression of Guangzhou�s unique atmosphere. Overnight in Guangzhou.
Day 2 - Exploring Guangzhou
After breakfast, we will collect you from the hotel lobby at around 9:00 for a full-day sightseeing tour of Guangzhou. Our first stop is the south bank of the Pearl River to visit Canton Tower, China's tallest TV tower and the third tallest worldwide. Here, we will enjoy panoramic views of the city and its surroundings. Next, we will visit the Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall, an important cultural landmark. After lunch at a local restaurant, we will explore the Chen Clan Academy, renowned for its intricate wood, stone, brick, pottery, plaster and iron carvings. Our final visit is the Museum of the Nanyue King of the Western Han Dynasty, where we will learn about the region's political, economic and cultural history from over 2,000 years ago. On the return journey, we will pass through Yuexiu Park before arriving back at your hotel. The remainder of the day is at your leisure.
Day 3 - Guangzhou at Leisure
After breakfast at the hotel, enjoy a full day at leisure to explore Guangzhou at your own pace. Immerse yourself in the city's rich history, shaped by numerous Chinese dynasties, and soak up its unique atmosphere. Alternatively, you may choose to join one of our optional full-day excursions. The Kaiping tour begins with a morning pick-up and visits the Kaiping Diaolou Cultural Tourist Attraction, a UNESCO World Heritage site known for its distinctive blend of Chinese and Western architecture amid rice paddies. The Foshan excursion explores the city's renowned ceramics heritage, including visits to the Southern-style Ancient Stove, Lingnan New World, martial arts landmarks, and the charming water village of Qiandeng, famed for its lantern culture. The Baomo Garden tour offers a chance to admire traditional southern Chinese architecture and garden art, with a visit to Lotus Hill and the largest gold statue of the Goddess of Mercy. Each tour includes lunch at a local restaurant and concludes around 18:00. Overnight in Guangzhou.
Day 4 - Guangzhou
After breakfast, check out of the hotel. At the arranged time, your guide will meet you in the hotel lobby to accompany you, along with the driver, to Guangzhou airport or railway station for your onward journey.
