Day 1 - Welcome to Finland
30 December 2026. Upon your arrival at Kajaani Airport, you will be met and transferred to Hotel Kalevala. The scenic drive, spanning about an hour, will treat you to the breathtaking snowy landscapes of the Finnish countryside.
As the evening unfolds, we come together to enjoy our first dinner, marking the beginning of your adventures in this winter wonderland.
Day 2 - Snow Games & Gala Dinner
After breakfast this morning, you'll get to know each other in the Guided Kalevala Snow Games, where cooperation, imagination, and joy take center stage in playful winter races. These activities are designed to bring everyone together in the spirit of fun and shared experiences.
After lunch, enjoy some free time to explore the surrounding nature at your own pace or join an optional activity such as snowmobiling, a guided snowshoe tour, or thrilling whitewater rafting. Alternatively, you can visit the centre of Kuhmo and browse the local shops for unique souvenirs.
The highlight of the evening awaits with the New Year Gala Dinner. Enjoy a night of live music, dancing, and a DJ to create an unforgettable atmosphere. You can also tryto predict the coming year and try a Finnish tin casting tradition.
As the clock nears midnight, move to the terrace for the countdown and a spectacular display of fireworks. The celebration continues inside the bar with dancing until the early hours, marking the beginning of a new year filled with joy and memories.
Day 3 - Welcome to the New Year
Enjoy your first breakfast of the year before freely trying out sleds and toboggans on the hill or kick sleds on the ice, soaking up the winter wonderland.
Spend the day at leisure or join optional activities such as ice swimming, snowshoeing, rapid floating, husky trips, or cross-country skiing.
In the evening, attend a traditional New Year’s concert at the Kuhmo Arts Centre, the perfect way to celebrate the season.
Day 4 - Time at Leisure
Enjoy breakfast this morning, with the rest of the day at your leisure. Take this opportunity for a day of rest or engage in optional activities such as ice swimming, showshoeing or cross-country skiing.
In the evening, enjoy a traditional smoke sauna experience.
Day 5 - Goodbye
3rd January 2027. Our amazing New Year's adventure in Finland comes to an end today. After breakfast and hotel check out, there's an included transfer back to Kajaani airport.
