After breakfast at the hotel, get ready to experience Florence through its rich cuisine. Starting from the very heart of the city, your local guide will lead you on a delicious journey, revealing hidden corners and curiosities that only Florentines know.
Begin your culinary adventure the Italian way, with a caffè al bancone - an espresso at the counter - accompanied by a typical sweet pastry. From there, follow your guide past the Renaissance Loggia del Pesce and into the lively Sant’Ambrogio district, home to Florence’s most charming and historic market.
Wander through the bustling stalls of Sant’Ambrogio Market, where locals shop for fresh meat, fish, cheese, fruit, and vegetables. Sample a range of Tuscan specialities and enjoy a glass of Chianti wine as you soak up the authentic atmosphere.
Leaving the market, you’ll stroll through quaint streets to your next stop - the iconic All’Antico Vinaio. Skip the queues and enjoy a tasting of their famous schiacciata, widely regarded as the best in the world.
The tour continues through Piazza della Signoria, where grand Renaissance statues offer the perfect backdrop to conclude your walk. Your food tour ends back at the starting point - but not before a final, sweet and refreshing surprise. The evening is at leisure in Florence
