Poland at a Glance: Best Time to Visit
Recommended time to visit: The most popular time for sightseeing in Poland is during the warmer and drier summer months of June - August. However, if you'd like to avoid the summer crowds then the shoulder seasons of spring (March - April) and autumn (September - October) see pleasant weather and lower prices.
Less popular time to visit: Poland's colder winter lasts from November - February and is characterized by snowfall and sub-zero temperatures across much of the country. However, towns and cities look very pretty covered in snow and ski resorts are open for business.
Exciting time to visit: If you don't mind braving the chilly temperatures then Christmas is a fantastic time to visit Poland. The country is famous for its Christmas markets, with cities such as Krakow, Warsaw and Gdansk bursting into life during December.
Best time for skiing: Ski resorts in Poland have been on the up in recent years, with the country carving a place for itself as an alternative to the Alps. The best time of the year to hit the slopes is between November - April, though this does vary by resort and region!
