Itinerary
Day 1 - Welcome to Seoul
Seoul - Myeongdong - Seoul. Your South Korea adventure begins this afternoon, when you’ll meet your guide and fellow travellers at the hostel. After a short welcome and pre-departure briefing, we’ll dive straight into the action.
Our first experience is a hands-on Taekwondo session led by professional instructors – an energetic introduction to one of Korea’s most iconic martial arts.
After working up an appetite, we’ll head to Myeongdong, one of Seoul’s most vibrant neighbourhoods, for a welcome dinner. It’s a great opportunity to get to know your group, share your excitement, and raise a glass to the journey ahead.
As night falls, we’ll ride the cable car up Namsan Mountain for panoramic views over the city skyline. Take a walk past the famous ‘padlocks of love’ at the base of Seoul N Tower – and if you fancy an even higher vantage point, you can head up to the observation deck for a full 360° view.
We’ll return via cable car and enjoy a relaxed stroll back to our accommodation in Myeongdong – ready for a full day of exploration tomorrow.
Day 2 - Exploring Seoul
Seoul - Gyeongbokgung Palace - Seoul. This morning, we’ll take the metro to Gyeongbokgung Palace to witness the Royal Guard Changing Ceremony. For an immersive cultural experience, you can rent a hanbok – traditional Korean dress – and explore the palace grounds in style.
The afternoon is yours to explore at your own pace. You might choose to wander through Bukchon Hanok Village and its atmospheric traditional houses, discover galleries and teahouses along Insadong Art Street, cycle beside the Han River, a favourite local hangout or experience the energy of Gangnam District’s shops and street food. Alternatively, visit HiKR Ground and film your own K-pop music video or join a makgeolli-making class and learn to brew (and taste) Korea’s traditional rice wine.
In the evening, you've got more free time to head to Euljiro or Itaewon – both packed with authentic restaurants and lively local spots for dinner and drinks.
Day 3 - DMZ & K-Pop
Seoul - DMZ - Hongdae - Seoul. This morning, we’re heading north to the Korean Demilitarized Zone (DMZ). After an hour’s drive to Imjingak, you may have the chance to hear the moving story of a North Korean defector.
Then it’s on to Dora Observatory, where you can look across the border into North Korea, and down into the Third Tunnel – a covert passage built by the North, located just 170 metres from the frontier.
Back in Seoul, it’s time to ramp up the energy with a K-pop dance class. Learn the choreography from professionals and see if you’ve got star quality.
For your final evening, why not explore the lively Hongdae area? Known for its street food, live music and youthful energy, it’s an ideal place to celebrate the end of an unforgettable day.
Day 4 - Farewell Seoul or Optional Temple Stay Extension
It’s time to say goodbye to your travel crew. You’ll leave with new friendships, unforgettable memories, and stories to share for years to come.
Want to extend your stay? Add on a night at Geumsunsa Temple! Enjoy a leisurely morning in Seoul to wander at your own pace, recharge, or simply soak up the city’s atmosphere. In the afternoon, we’ll transfer by private vehicle to Geumsunsa Temple for an authentic templestay experience. Take part in the temple’s traditional drum and bell rituals, Buddhist chanting, and a calming singing bowl meditation. Afterwards, you may wish to reflect quietly, unwind, or stroll through the tranquil temple grounds before retiring early for the night. The next morning, you'll begin the day in true monastic style with a peaceful Buddhist dawn chanting ceremony, followed by a simple yet satisfying temple breakfast. After returning your temple attire and bidding farewell to the monks, you’ll transfer back to Seoul by private vehicle. Please contact us if you'd like to extend your tour.
