You’ll road–trip through the Great Rift Valley – think epic views – before settling into the Masai Mara for classic game drives in big–sky savannah. Expect to see the Big Five, crossings along the Mara River and, in season, the thunder of the great migration. There’s time for an optional hot–air balloon at dawn or a visit to a Masai village for cultural insight. Early starts, golden sunsets and plentiful wildlife action – a short break with maximum wow.

Day 1 - Nairobi to the Masai Mara
Nairobi - Masai Mara. We pick you up from your Nairobi hotel or the airport and drive to the Masai Mara, pausing at the Great Rift Valley viewpoint for sweeping views across the valley floor. You arrive in time for lunch at the lodge, then set out on an afternoon game drive in the Masai Mara National Reserve. Known for its open grasslands and high concentrations of wildlife – especially along the western escarpment – the reserve also hosts the annual wildebeest migration from July to November. Return to the lodge for a buffet dinner and time to relax. Accommodation: Masai Mara Sopa Lodge or similar.
Day 2 - Full Day Masai Mara Safari
After a buffet breakfast at the lodge, you spend a full day exploring the Masai Mara in search of the Big Five, covering the open plains and the Mara River area. Break for a picnic lunch in the reserve, then continue game viewing until late afternoon before returning to the lodge for a buffet dinner and overnight at Masai Mara Sopa Lodge or similar.
The reserve is renowned for the annual migration of wildebeest and zebra from the Serengeti, followed by predators such as lions, cheetahs, hyenas and vultures. Optional activities: you can join an early morning hot air balloon safari at USD 450 per person – we then continue with the day’s programme – or visit a local Masai village in the evening for a cultural tour at USD 20 per person; an overnight in the village can be arranged on request.
Day 3 - Final Game Drive & Return to Nairobi
Masai Mara - Nairobi. You set out on a final early morning game drive in the Mara Reserve, then return to the lodge for breakfast. After check out, drive back to Nairobi – we’ll drop you at your hotel or at the airport. Breakfast is served at the lodge, and a packed lunch is provided for the journey.
