Our tour guide Quin was excellent. The tour itself was also very good.

The restaraunts did not always accomodate non-fish eaters

For instance in our lunch, at a lovely french inspired restaraunt, in the Mekong delta, I got deep fried chicken and chips ! ”  

As a female solo traveller, I highly recommend this tour. Quin, our tour guide was so helpful and always looking out for me to make sure I was alright. The tour provides a really good balance of the safety of being in a group vs able to do your own thing. I thought the hotels were really luxurious, especially in Hue and Hanoi. There are some early morning starts but you get used to it pretty quick. I really enjoyed the Hoi An street eats add on, it was one of my favourite things to do on the trip. I thought the Hanoi to Hoi An tour was the right amount of time to see enough of the country. ”

Very organised, great transport maybe the option not to have to sit together as a group when food is served can be awkward if you’re an introvert like me! Would be good if all tour guides just gave a quick explanation at the tour spots - like explaining we are now going on a walk it will take approximately this amount of time etc. sometimes not much communication at all.

Way beyond our expectations - packed full of a wide variety of interesting places and experiences. Quin, our guide, was really helpful and great at keeping us all moving, and encouraging when some ability levels were pushed to the limit. He had so much relevant information to share and he followed up on things people had mentioned a day or so earlier. This was the first time we had toured with other people but the group was very friendly and we saw much more than we would have on our own.

The Street Eats Vespa tour was also made extra enjoyable by the attentiveness of our guide [John} Vespa riding not coming even close to being an activity one of us would have chosen. The guide on our last day was full of information and pleasant, but shared all the information while we stood for long periods. He offered us water bottles at the beginning of the tour but we really needed a pause between activities for a snack break. This certainly high-lighted how well Quin had looked after us!”

Thank your for the upgrade though on the Halong Bay Cruise.. I understand the other boats were damaged.

The upgrade room was nice, although all night there was a very loud engine noise that kept me awake, so I hardly slept and then didn't go to my outing the next morning.

I had to use ear plugs...

We barely stayed one day.. we got on the boat at 12:20pm and got off by 10am the next day.

So it was fast paced and packed with activities but it did feel like get on and get off because we have others coming .

The tour guides on the boat were not personal at all

There was no adjustments and acknowledgment that we all were disappointed that the bay was not as we had seen on postcard's, simply because of Typhoon but the staff and management on the boat didn't really acknowledge that at all.

So I feel we missed out in beautiful Halong bay, but wouldn't want to go on that ship even though it looked beautiful

I also noticed the staff on the boat didn't speak any English... so only 2 people could answer any information.

regarding our personal tour guide on Saturday, Sunny... she was fantastic.. really nice and knowledgeable. We really liked being with her and loved that part the most.

the drivers to the destination Halong Bay couldn't speak a word of English.. so I only has Sunny to communicate with on WhatsApp.. and she was helpful

None of the drivers could speak... so I was taxing Sunny all the time for information and she responded well.

The hotel we stayed in was beautiful and we are grateful for that. I appreciate the option.

So overallI felt it was too much money for what we got.. so not sure why we paid so much.. I wouldn't do that again.

It was basically for 4 nights and one day with a tour guide... transport, transfer and one night on Halong bay... perhaps because we had an extra room.. but knowing Vietnam pricing I felt what we paid for was too much. ”

The tour was great and so was Kien. Because of Typhoon Yagi we were stuck at the Hotel in Hanoi for a coupe of days at the beginning. This gave us some down time before the tour started. It was good to have a few days in Hoi An in the middle of the tour, as it was nice to not have to pack and go everyday.”

I’ve been very disappointed to be honest. I’ve been travelling the world and this is by far my worst experience in terms of how much I was charged compared to 4 others on the trip, over twice the price and some. The hotels weren’t up to the standard I’d experienced in Thailand or Europe and those were all 2 star. I also question the suggested tipping amount for the guide… more than Europe and he had so much more free time than those tours. I also didn’t like paying extra for excursion fees. They should all be included in the price. I thought too long in Hoi An and Ho Chi Minh. The Hoi An hotel was particularly disappointing with their lack of service and pricing compared to the same hotel in Hue. The cruise in Halong bay was enjoyable with the best bed on the whole trip, but the kayaking was ordinary. The bike ride through the villages was enjoyable and I am pleased I did the overnight train. ”

Excellent tour - Saigon to Siam Reap. Tour guides in all 3 places were brilliant - Kien in Ho Chi Minh, Maroth in Phnom Penh and Nak in Siam Reap were all fantastic - very knowledgeable and friendly.

Accommodation was excellent in Can Tho and Siam Reap (Angkor Paradise Hotel) - first class, 5 star hotels! Understandably, the hotels in Ho Chi Minh (Bay Hotel - 3 star) and Phnom Penh (Sun and Moon Hotel - 4 star) could not be as good, but they were fine for what we needed, and were in good, central locations.

This was my first "group tour" and I had some initial reservations, but it was a great experience and the people on the tour were lots of fun. I especially enjoyed the Cai Be/Can Tho boat cruise and sampan experience and the floating markets in Cai Rang.

The most emotional part of the tour for me was the Genocide Museum and Killing Fields in Phnom Penh, but a very worthwhile experience to meet some survivors. The dinner at the restaurant in Phnom Penh was very nice; excellent restaurant!

Siam Reap was also a favourite, especially the Angkor Wat temple complex, the Phare Circus, the Tonle Sap lake and the Siam Reap town. My only feedback was that we probably didn't have enough time to ourselves in Siam Reap to enjoy the hotels facilities, relax and enjoy the cities sites (maybe an extra quiet day in Siam Reap for me).

Overall, an excellent tour with fabulous tour guides and I would highly recommend the tour to other solo travellers.”  

Everything ran smoothly and as expected. The various guides were all very friendly and helpful. The camp and riverside accommodations were wonderful. Our only criticism would be that we felt rushed at the Thai-Burma Railway Center and didn’t have any time left to visit the Allied War Cemetary”  

My sister & I did the Best of Vietnam 13 day tour and our guide Kien did an excellent job. Kien was informative, helpful and showed empathy to a traveller in time of need. If I did not do the trip through a tour based company I doubt very much that I would have done, seen or experienced what I did. Outside of Kien's role of guide he gave names of the best restaurants, cafes, & shops to experience the best of Vietnam. On The Go Tours is 'just that' you are always 'on the go'. It's fun, fast and exciting but if you want a more laid back trip On the Go may not be for you as there is very little down time. The accommodation was good and service impeccable. We had one hiccup with a hotel but Kien sorted immediately and we were transported to another hotel that was very satisfactory. Vietnam has a lot of history and it was great to delve into that with our guide's knowledge. Kien was always very keen to assist in any problem that may have arisen and kept everyone informed of the days activities. Our group consisted on 19 people which was ideal so that made the trip even better as we were able to mingle and get to know the other travellers and form nice friendships.”

We had a fabulous time in Northern Thailand with our guide. The places we visited were simply amazing. It was a lifetime, unforgettable experience, getting up and personal with a local tribe in the mountains was a highlight, along with the amazing White Temple. There are so many things I could highlight, so I will just say this. Thank you On The Go Tours for a wonderful experience that we will never forget.

The advertised 'included' Transfers on the first and last day should be an optional cost as they were refused to us, as we were not coming directly from the airport and ended up being an additional cost. Tour guides at Hintock River Camp and floating hotel were outstanding. The others were average .

The itinerary was very interesting and quality of accommodation was good.

The drivers in and out of Bangkok were very below average. The driver returning us to Bangkok was downright dangerous. I understand that road rules are different in Asia and have travelled extensively but this was absolutely unacceptable anywhere in the world. The guide left the tour early and we were left trying to explain to the angry non- English speaking driver where the hotel was. ”  

Both sets of drivers and guides did their jobs really well.

In particular we should mention Koi, our first driver who went the extra mile by always having plenty of chilled water available and a neverending supply of boiled sweets.

Our second guide was a life saver. We inadvertantly left our passports in our room at Sandor Village and didn't realise until we checked in at Siem Reap. He told us not to worry and sure enough when we met him the next morning the first thing he did was hand us our passports.

Can you please make sure your guides and drivers wear name badges. We know our first driver was Koi and our first guide was Darick but we really haven't a clue about the names of our second set. Lovely people, but we really couldn't tell you their names.

I know the Sandor Village is listed as 3 star but really it's only a 2 star with a swimming pool. I had to endure 2 cold showers before the hot water started to run hot for my wife and somewhere like Cambodia really can't afford to waste water.”

Great tour, would have liked more time in Halong Bay & Hoi An as soo much to do and see.

For tipping and entrance fees etc it would be good to pay upfront perhaps included in the price as there seemed to be lots of extras.

We only had one really alarming problem

We had an airport transfer from Mui Ne to the Ho Chi Minh airport

And the driver was on a suicide mission - I asked him several times to slow down as he was scaring myself and my wife but he ignored us ”

And the excellent driver was there for us on the other days always prompt and helpful!

Sadly I can’t say the same for the hotel, while the staff were helpful and kind and the sheets etc were very clean, but the floors needed a wash!

We left the hotel to do the ha long bay cruise and returned to the same room which still had not had the floors washed.

Also not sure about the position of the hotel, I felt like I was in a terrible area but maybe I just didn’t absorb the atmosphere, it was so dirty and smelly in the area around the hotel.

Travelled with my mum, we had an excellent holiday. Vietnam is amazing, it is truly a beautiful country that I will return to many times in the future. This particular trip (Hanoi to Hoi An) was a great mix of busy city and relaxed country Vietnam, the transport used was excellent and the food 10/10 (included meals were absolutely amazing and catered for veg/vegan easily). Our guide Hung was great, he was funny and also very helpful. ”  

A highly enjoyable tour. We were the only people joining at Phnom Penh and were surprised that there was no welcome letter or briefing for us at the hotel - we had to ask reception to confirm when we should meet up. Although the trip notes implied that on Day 3 we would fly to Siem Reap in the morning, the flight was scheduled at 2.15 and was delayed in advance until 4.15 and in practice left at 4.55, which meant the day was largely wasted, and the time in Siem Reap was much more pressurised with less free time. If internal flights are unreliable, a road transfer might have been preferable, allowing a stop-off en route. The guide at Siem Reap was particularly good. The pick-up for our transfer to the airport on Day 6 did not turn up; fortunately, one of the other tour guides knew the contact details of our guide who made a decision that the company would pay for our use of the hotel shuttle to the airport, and arranged this with the hotel. Perhaps in the future guests should have the guide's contact details for emergencies but we appreciated her prompt decision-making.”

My daughter and I booked this tour only 7 days before leaving. We were very unsure what to expect and a little nervous visiting a new country. We were immediately put at ease when we met Win Win our tour guide. From the minute we were in Win Win's care we felt safe and happy we had someone who was available for great tips and support any time of the day and night.

It was an amazing experience! The tour guide, Sy, was very knowledgeable and accommodating. He pointed out key facts and data, provided recommendations, so friendly.

The group we had was great, we all got along well like family. Everyday was busy, early mornings but it was good to get the day starting early. The breakfasts were wonderful, a lot of options. The meals that were included in the tour package were top notch.

We had a fantastic time. The tour was well thought out. My one change would be the three hour hike in the hill tribe part. It was stupidly hot the day we hiked. Unfortunately, the bottom half of the trail had been bulldozered, and was practically straight downhill. Our guide, Hung, said this was new from the last time he had done the trek. It spoiled the walk. It may be better to hike around on the top of the hills within the Hmong community. Cooler and better views. Otherwise, it was all wonderful. Both guides were so knowledgable. They also did a fantastic job in helping with the food allergies and ensuring the food was suitable.”  

Had the best tour guide - Win Win. He is an absolute credit to your company. So knowledgeable and passionate. We also had the best tour group. In regards to the tour felt that first hotel La Casa Hotel in Hanoi was a little average compared to the others we stayed in. Halong Bay could have used a little more information about some of the activities we could do so we could pack our overnight bag with the correct clothing.

End of the tour after Hoi An felt a little rushed. Could have used an extra day. But overall we had an incredible experience and would recommend your company to others looking to tour Vietnam.”

Tour was well structured up until Hoi An, felt after Hoi An there was a lot of travel and not a lot to see...felt like we didn't see any of HCMC.

A real missed opportunity is a welcome meal on first night.

Hotels were fine, nothing special- except Hoi An- lovely hotel. Hotel in Hanoi was awful. Needs to be looked at - luckily we were only there for one night but if we had 'bolted on' another day or two there it would have been awful. ”

My only issue would be that there were two many one night stops. I would have preferred more two night stops even if it meant cutting out one city. I would replace the train journey with two nights in Hanoi and a flight to Hue.

Also, we had a 3.15 am start for a 6.05 flight to HCM, followed by a full day touring. This was just too early. There were other later flights that we could have caught. ”  

We had a fabulous time thanks, ended all too soon. The guides (and their very able assistant drivers), were fantastic. When they dropped you off at your accommodation in the evening, you could ask for advice on where to eat, what else to see etc. Very very good - they loved promoting their home country. A couple of points to note - the 'Junk' - staff and food were great, but the vessel itself - old and rattly. Chau Doc and Phnom Penh (the later - a stunning hotel - best of the lot), would liked to have spent longer in these two places. All very rushed. Maybe need to extend the tour by a couple of days. The printed itinerary we were provided needs updating. I realise it seems to have been printed for a number of different tours but it got a little confusing. Best piece of advice is approximately how much to tip people ie concierge in the hotel. It was a little stressful trying to work it out as we were also relying on the tour guide to assist with that advice. The Vietnamese and Cambodians are beautiful people - calm, happy - a delight. Same with the staff at the hotels - they could not help you enough. Would go back tomorrow if I could. :)”  

Overall, a very satisfying tour. All went to plan, with no hiccups. Accommodation on the River (in jungle) was a pleasant adventure and I really enjoyed it.

Only complaint was an issue that I flagged with you before I left for the tour. Pre and post nights were at the same hotel in Bangkok as per tour (three nights total). I was charged AUD300 per night for the two pre & post nights and this was over TWICE as much as the same room would have cost if I had booked it myself. A look on booking sites showed an average room at around AUD100 - AUD130 per night.

This was our first ever group tour and due to the great variety of our tour and expert guide Hung Do made it an extremely memorable tour for the both of us. I thought the tour was well balanced with plenty of optional tours if one desired.

The history provided by Hung on Vietnam was outstanding and was provided in a timely but not overwhelming fashion.

Small group tour should be NO MORE than 12. After 12, it's not a "medium-size" group.

TOUR GUIDE: Kien was very knowledgeable, professional and enthusiastic. My only advice is too tamp down on the "my brother and sister" references bc it does sound communist. Our Aussie travel mates became quite annoyed by it. As Americans, we just rolled our eyes.

TRANSPORTATION: Please include info about tipping airport transfers

Scooter/ Vespa add-ons THE BEST! From the moment we got on the scooter during the Back Streets of Hanoi, we were hooked - so much fun to experience Vietnam on the back of a scooter that we added 2 more tours, riding scooters a total of 4 times.

MEALS: Include information about average cost of meals and expectation for payment in CASH. Included lunches were almost identical and tiresome. The local food is much better vs 5-6 course / sit down. A small group of 8-12 lends itself to street food, which is culturally Vietnam and better quality.

Cu Chi tour very interesting - thankfully no one in our group wanted to shoot rifles. Again Huang was THE BEST

Consider adding breakfast in the Floating Market (Can Tho) w/ the drive up boats serving noodles, coffee and pineapple. We'd have preferred to get up early vs eat another hotel buffet

HOTELS:

1. Hue Mondial was atrocious, bad service, worse food, breakfast picked over by another tour group - so almost no food or seating by 6:40am (breakfast opens at 6:30am) and rude employees.

2. Hoi An Vinh Hung Riverside Resort was AMAZING and perfect for the 3 day stopover.

3. Can Tho - meh

We added an extra day up front and at the end, so we could do our own tours, which include Ninh Binh, Saigon Walking Street Food Tour, Saigon by Night Vespa tour and the Vietnamese Bamboo Circus at the Saigon Opera House.

All in all the trip was amazing and VERY VIETNAM!”

My trip was great. It was extremely hot but I enjoyed the tour very much and mostly everything went very smoothly. I really appreciated the guide making sure the restaurants used gluten free sauce for the meals. I hope you can pass onto the tour company that I was happy with the food and the effort by the hotels and restaurants that we went to. I know the group I was travelling with were unhappy with some aspects of the food but I just wanted to note that I thought it was all great. ”

We had THE best time ever on our 8 day tour of Vietnam with On The Go Tours. Our Guide Kien was absolutely brilliant, so knowledgeable, professional, friendly and reliable! We did another short tour in Malaysia after Vietnam, and the guide we had for that made us appreciate Kien even more!! He was the glue for us all - you are very lucky to have him as part of your team!

This was our first experience doing a group tour and it went beautifully. We loved being the only folks from the US - it was a fantastic mix of old and young folks and from all different parts of the world.

The trip was nearly ruined by having to wait 5 hours after a 17 hour flight before I could get a room to even rest. This was not acceptable and needs to be explained to customers prior to booking as my understanding is that it has caught a lot of people out. Trying to bury it in a “good transfer from the airport” to your 5-7hour wait is also no good. On The Go needs to address this.

Fortunately the tour guide Quin was very good, knowledgeable and superb with the group. He ran a very intense schedule but it was fantastic. This is not a holiday you go on for a rest but the itinerary was amazing.

I did appreciated the efforts of Quin to make everything work well and the group was also great. I would recommend the tour but again will stress that it is not for rest and relaxation (not a bad thing) as you are cramming a long country into 10 days. ”  

My travel party and I found the "La Casa" hotel somewhat out of the way as we had stayed in the old area for 2 nights prior to going on the tour. There weren't any/many places eat, and our guide had left quite quickly after our briefing, and we were unsure where to go to eat. Mr Chong didn't seem as knowledgeable as the other group's guide. The Ha long bay leg was excellent and even though the boat was older it was well appointed and my type of boat, the flight from Hanoi to Hue was standard (as they are), but the Hue accommodation was average compared to where we dropped off the other members of the second tour. The bath /shower was poor, and the water from the shower head hit the back wall and couldn't be adjusted. The trip from Hue to Da Nang then to Hoi Ahn was a standard bus trip. Accommodation at Hoi Ahn was really good and our trip to the rice farm was excellent, and I have no other issues only the guide left us on the Thursday which was a surprise but didn't make that much of a difference to the overall trip.

The communication, planning and organisation pre-arrival and during the trip was exceptional. We are in our mid-30s, the group was circa 20 people (different ages [a mix of mid-thirties to 60s] and nationalities, majority was Aus/NZ and some Brits). Kien - was our guide in Vietnam. He is absolutely AMAZING and has made this trip 10/10 for Vietnam. Ensure that your guide is Kien if you go. Switched on, well organised, kind, knowledgable, great english, gives you a good insight about life and history of Vietnam. Perfection. Itinerary is great (would be potentially better if done in reverse). Hotels - this was a mix between good ones and the ones that are a bit tired (i would say half and half). That said, all of them had great breakfasts. Transportation was great - good drivers and good big tour buses that take you everywhere you go. Everything is well thought out - all stops, all breaks etc. it is really ‘on the go’ so be ready for a lot of travel (early starts etc). Amazing fun though. Cambodia was fun too - a much newer and poorer country. Guides were a little worse. Temples are worth the visit. Vietnam is a must though! ”

Excellent tour. Itinerary quite busy - the day starting with the very early wakeup was a bit too long (and involved too much food!). It was nice to have three days of relative peace at Hoi An. Quin was great; friendly, knowledgeable, accommodating.”

Food was good (taken to certain restaurants where we paid) but see if you can arrange pre ordering lunch with the guide as we found the lunch stops were eating into our travel time (between ordering, getting food, paying). because i stayed 2nights at the beginning of the tour, i stayed in the old quarter 3mins from the lake and it was perfect.

the CASA hotel in Hanoi was awful...tired carpets and the position is horrible. none of us liked it on the trip.

no where to walk at night to eat . i suggest you move much closer into the old quarter

i would also add the train road as part of the trip as half our group didnt know about it and it was a very exciting experience.

the night market in Hanoi was fabulous . the hotel in Hoi an was fabulous and our best one onn the trip.

i really really loved this whole trip and the aussie and british on our trip were such fun and we all got on well. thank you”

My wife and I are both 70, and had some reservations about taking this tour, As it turned out it was a wonderful tour, we definitely did things we would not of done traveling on our own. We had a great group to travel with, and the tour guides were really wonderful. All of the accommodations were great with a few being exceptional. We had just enough free time to give us a break, and rest.

When we returned home everyone wanted to know which country we liked best, we had to say we really enjoyed all the countries, and would go back again, and use On The Go Tours. ”  

Tour: overall was a fantastic tour with a good guide Grace. It was quite a high paced tour but the children managed it and had a nice variety of activities which was great for everyone. The highlight of the tour was definitely the river kwai section, the accommodation and variety - with camping at hintok camp and the jungle rafts was amazing.

Feedback: it is worth warning in the itinerary that the first day of the river kwai is actually an early pick up from the accommodation ie 6am so that a breakfast box will be provided by the hotel. We were not aware and it was a big ask on the first day of tour. It also wasn't clear that the river kwai section was run by different smaller guides ie one from hintok camp, one from river jungle rafts, one for the first day. Though this wasn't a problem, i think as we have done many on the go tours, we were expecting one guide and it was not the case, so i think worth mentioning for that section. It was nice to have the same guide then for the rest of the northern part of the tour. The northern part of the tour was very fast paced and of note, there was no part in the tour that looked at bangkok itself. I would recommend putting this as an added optional excursion or increasing the tour by a day to at least see the sites in Bangkok. We chose to arrange our own day half trip to the floating markets but had assumed that we would see some of bangkok in the tour, admittedly this wasn't in the itinerary so we should have known. It would definitely be worth the on the go company considering these things.

The accommodation was great, the food lovely, the sites seen was perfect and with a good combination. We had a large bus with only 8 people on board. The driver was great.”

We joined the tour in Hanoi then went onto the Micon Delta. Which was probably the worst part of the trip. Loved Cambodia and the people. Guides were great and loved their countries.”

My ONLY complaint was that the group lunches and dinners did not allow us to choose our own food; it was all pre-programmed and somewhat repetitive. Other than that, no problems! Overall, the tour was good and it does keep you moving to see a variety of things on a daily basis. There were a couple activities that were "tourist traps" where we were put in a situation to buy goods from the locals. For example, we were offered to go on a boat on the Da Nang river or take the shuttle to where we were going, either of which was a short distance. For a small fee (I think it was $10) we could take the boat but once you get on the boat it was all about selling trinkets, clothes, etc. and the boat ride offered little in terms of scenery. I think you probably get this with quite a few tour companies. The majority of the excursions delt with seeing museums, temples, buddhas, etc. so I definitely had my fill by the end of it. I would have liked to have done for adventurous ventures but that's just me. One of the highlights was the cable car on the only free day we had and that cost $100 so it would have been nice to have that included in the tour. Also, doing more things outside of the normal scope of the typical tourist stops would've been nice. Transportation was good and the junk boat was really nice. Overnight train left a little to be desire, but it was a new experience nonetheless. Most of the hotels would be a 3 star by US standards which was a little disappointing because I booked this tour since nice 4-star accommodations was a priority for me.”

A good tour which enabled us to learn about the culture/history of the area. Two out of three of our guides were excellent - engaging, friendly, attentive and passionate about their part of the tour. However one gave us the wrong written itinerary and thought that the way of making us understand what he was saying was to shout the words us at several times! We were also subjected to a history lesson, using a pointer and a map, which was long winded and boring. To top it all, when on the train over the River Kwai, he gave us no commentary as to what we were suppose to be looking out for - he just closed his eyes and fell asleep!”

Had a great taster 7 day tour of Thailand in January. Our guide was brilliant and made sure we saw as much as we could. Our group was only 3 which was perfect. ”  

Our guide Hung Do was absolutely brilliant. So friendly, knowledgeable and organised. He made some excellent decisions - especially around moving a couple of activities due to extreme heat. I am so pleased we got him on our tour.

I had a really good time on the tour but there were a couple of things I think could be improved.

While I was expecting to contribute to the tip kitty at the start of the trip, I wasn't expecting to also have to pay for entrance fees etc - I thought these would have been included within the tour costs. It certainly has been on other tours with other providers I've been on.

Water - I think it's strange to use so many small plastic bottles when we should be trying to reduce our environmental impact. I believe I was the only person in the group using my own water bottle, which was surprising. It would be so much better to encourage everyone to bring their own and have a large water container on the bus for us to refill from - in fact, an On The Go branded insulated water bottle given to everyone at the start would be even better.

The first night - as a solo traveller I found the first night very disappointing. A group meal - somewhere catering to dietary requirements - would have been a really good icebreaker. Instead, Hung recommended two places for people to eat, both exclusively meat restaurants (then recommended a vegan place for me, but this was separate). There are plenty of restaurants in Hanoi that have vegetarian options, and if one of these had been recommended I could have gone out to eat with most of the group. As it was, I ate on my own and then walked around by myself before going to bed. It was a pretty rubbish start to the tour. Thankfully it got better, but that definitely could have been improved. ”  

We had a fantastic time on our Vietnam and Cambodia Tour with OnTheGo Tours. All of our guides were excellent, looking after us at all times, providing the well needed chilled bottled water, giving us information about the sites we visited, the country, the people and practical information including restaurant recommendations

All of the hotels were good, and the included meals were also very good

Our hotels were in all located cities so it would have been nice to had an overnight in the countryside on a home stay or similar.

We did both of the extra excursions and loved the Vespa tour, this along with the bike ride to the countryside from Hoi An, was our favourite day in Vietnam. We also did the cable car ride and golden hand bridge but at the top is just a theme park which we weren't really interested in so in hindsight we probably wouldn't have done this day, but that was our decision

The highlight in Cambodia was probably the sun rise at Angkor Wat, although busy. We enjoyed Cambodia as a country and would love to return and discover more of the less touristy areas”

I've done several previous tours with On The Go and other tour providers, and this one (Very Vietnam) was one of the best. The information before the trip was excellent including as to upfront costs for the tour, and when I had to request further information about the itinerary to schedule a meeting online, On The Go were really helpful in trying to get me a more detailed itinerary. He was fabulous - always available to respond to messages and help, recommend places to eat and drink, and clearly had a huge amount of enthusiasm for it all, as well as a good sense of humour!
