Day 1 - Toronto
Welcome to Toronto. We’ll transfer you to your hotel, then the rest of the day is free – you can relax after your flight or explore the area at your own pace. In the afternoon we’ll share details about the start of the tour; if you arrive later, you can check the information boards at hotel reception.
Please note: This tour may have travellers joining or departing at various points along the route, meaning group composition can change during the tour. Please also be aware that depending on group composition, guiding may be in additional languages as well as English.
Day 2 - Toronto
After breakfast, we take a guided sightseeing tour of Toronto, visiting Chinatown, City Hall, the Financial District, the Eaton Centre, Casa Loma and other key landmarks. The afternoon is free – you can visit the CN Tower, shop at the Eaton Centre or walk through the Underground City, a 25 km network of shopping gallerias beneath the financial district. In the evening, you can head to Queens Quay – a lively waterfront area with plenty of restaurants. Accommodation.
Day 3 - Toronto - Niagara-on-the-Lake - Niagara Falls - Los Angeles
After breakfast we travel to the beautiful town of Niagara–on–the–Lake for a relaxed stroll, then continue to Niagara Falls. We stop for photos at the Floral Clock before boarding the Hornblower Niagara Cruise, which takes us to the foot of the falls. Afterwards, you have free time to enjoy the Clifton Hill attractions. We reach our hotel in Niagara Falls in the late afternoon. Later – at the time advised by your guide – we transfer to the airport for an included domestic flight. On arrival, we include a transfer to your hotel at the destination. Your guide will get in touch towards the end of the afternoon, or you can check the information at hotel reception. Note: on domestic flights the usual allowance is one checked suitcase of up to 23 kg – any excess is payable directly to the airline.
Day 4 - Los Angeles
After breakfast, we set out on a panoramic tour of this far reaching city, taking in the Music Center, Civic Center and the Financial District as we pass L.A. LIVE and the Staples Center. We continue west along Wilshire Boulevard, passing Koreatown and the La Brea area en route to Beverly Hills. We then follow Sunset Boulevard to Hollywood to see the Walk of Fame, the Dolby Theatre, the Chinese Theatre and views of the Hollywood sign. You have free time here to explore and have lunch. Late in the afternoon, we include a transfer to Long Beach – where palm trees sit alongside glass buildings – with time at Shoreline Village to stroll and dine with views across to the Queen Mary.
Day 5 - Los Angeles - Santa Monica - Solvang - Bakersfield
We depart Los Angeles and pause at Santa Monica Pier – often featured in Hollywood films. We then continue to Solvang, a small Danish‑style town in California, before arriving in Bakersfield.
Day 6 - Bakersfield - Sequoia National Park - Fresno
After breakfast in Bakersfield, we set off for a complete change of scenery – leaving the desert behind for the vast forests of Sequoia National Park, home to the giant sequoias. We visit the park to see General Sherman – the largest tree in the world – with time to take photos and stroll among these towering groves. We then continue to Fresno.
Day 7 - Fresno - Yosemite - San Francisco
After breakfast we leave Fresno for Yosemite National Park, renowned for its sheer granite cliffs, waterfalls and forested valleys. We visit key viewpoints to take in El Capitan, Half Dome and the park’s major waterfalls, with time for photos. You have free time for lunch. In the afternoon we continue to San Francisco, arriving in the late afternoon.
Day 8 - San Francisco
After breakfast, we set out on a guided tour of San Francisco, taking in Union Square with its trams, Chinatown, the Financial District, the Theatre District, Civic Center and Alamo Square, where painted Victorian houses stand against the modern skyline. We continue through the Castro to Twin Peaks for panoramic views of the city and bay, then on through the historic Haight–Ashbury neighbourhood to Golden Gate Park for a short stop. We end the tour at the Golden Gate Bridge. The afternoon is free – you can join an optional visit to Sausalito for excellent views of San Francisco and the bay, or explore at your own pace. In the evening, we include a transfer to North Beach – Little Italy – a lively area filled with restaurants.
Day 9 - San Francisco
After breakfast, we conclude our services in San Francisco – the tour ends here. You can make your own onward travel arrangements or continue exploring the city at your leisure.

'Shared' prices are for solo travellers who are happy to share with another solo traveller of the same sex in a twin room - a single room will be provided at no additional cost if there are no suitable travellers to share with.
