New
Begin in Hong Kong and end in Beijing on an 18 day journey through southern and central China. You’ll ride sleek trains between dramatic karst scenery in Yangshuo – think cycling quiet lanes and drifting by bamboo raft – and the powerhouse cities of Chongqing and Chengdu, where you’ll visit the Giant Panda Breeding Centre and sample fiery cuisine. Expect to see Xi’an’s Terracotta Warriors, try a Kung Fu class near the Shaolin Temple, and pick up handy Mandarin along the way. A rugged Great Wall hike with a night of camping caps things off – before time to explore Beijing’s palaces, hutongs and creative districts.
