Day 1 - San Jose - Puerto Viejo - Puerto Viejo de Talamanca
Upon arrival at Juan Santamaría Airport, a representative will welcome you and escort you to your transfer to Puerto Viejo. You will arrive at your hotel around 3:00 pm, after which you can enjoy some leisure time at the nearby beaches. Take the opportunity to explore the vibrant town at your own pace—browse local shops, sample the diverse flavours of the regional cuisine, and soak up the lively atmosphere. Overnight stay in Puerto Viejo.
Day 2 - Puerto Viejo de Talamanca
After breakfast, we take a 7-kilometre walk along the national park trail, starting at Playa Blanca and continuing to Punta Cahuita. This route offers the chance to swim in the calm Caribbean Sea and spot a variety of wildlife, including sloths, white-faced capuchin and howler monkeys, anteaters, armadillos, raccoons, blue morpho butterflies, and numerous bird species. Along the way, you will also see medicinal plants, orchids, trees, ferns and bromeliads. We return to Puerto Viejo for an overnight stay.
Day 3 - Puerto Viejo - San Jose
After breakfast, we will collect you from your hotel in Puerto Viejo and transfer you to Juan Santamaría Airport for your onward journey.
