Itinerary
Day 1 - Prague
Welcome to Prague. On arrival at the airport, we will transfer you to your hotel. Please check the information boards in the hotel reception for details about the welcome meeting with your guide. This evening, we will take you to the bustling Old Town Square, where you can enjoy dinner at one of the many restaurants offering a variety of international cuisines, including Czech, Chinese, Indian, and Italian. After dinner, we will provide transfer back to the hotel.
Please note: This tour may have travellers joining or departing at various points along the route, meaning group composition can change during the tour.
Day 2 - Prague
Today we explore Prague, often called the Baroque jewel of Europe. A local guide will take us on a panoramic tour, showcasing the city’s most significant landmarks. We’ll visit Prague Castle, with admission included, to discover its historic and architectural importance. Afterwards, we’ll enjoy a relaxing boat ride along the Vltava River, also included. The afternoon is yours to explore the city at your leisure.
Day 3 - Prague - Munich - Innsbruck
We’ll set off early and travel to Bavaria, Germany, arriving in Munich around midday. You’ll have free time to explore the historic city centre and enjoy lunch at your leisure. In the afternoon, we continue into Austria and arrive in Innsbruck, nestled in the heart of the Alps. There will be time to wander through the Old Town and the area around the Golden Roof before enjoying dinner locally.
Day 4 - Innsbruck - Salzburg
We begin the day with a visit to the Swarovski Museum, home to the renowned crystal brand. We’ll explore the impressive gardens and discover the craftsmanship behind these exquisite pieces. Afterwards, you’ll have free time to wander through Innsbruck’s historic centre at your own pace. Our journey then continues along scenic mountain roads to Kitzbühel, a famous Tyrolean town known for its ski resort and the legendary Hahnenkamm Race, one of the world’s most prestigious alpine skiing events. We will arrive in Salzburg by the end of the day.
Day 5 - Salzburg - Lake Traunsee - Vienna
Today, we’ll begin by exploring Salzburg, Mozart’s birthplace, where the Renaissance and Baroque architecture creates a stunning backdrop beneath the imposing fortress. Afterwards, we’ll travel through scenic lakes and mountains to reach St Wolfgang, a well-known pilgrimage site. Next, we’ll visit Traunkirchen by the picturesque Traunsee Lake and take a cruise included in your tour, passing four castles along the lake before disembarking in Gmunden. In the evening, we’ll continue on to Vienna, arriving later that day.
Day 6 - Vienna
Today we’ll take a panoramic tour of Vienna with a local guide. We’ll explore the city’s grand avenues, stunning palaces, expansive parks and bustling centre, capturing the essence of this imperial capital. In the afternoon, you’ll have free time to discover Vienna at your own pace. In the evening, we’ll transfer you to the Grinzing district, a historic wine-growing area now part of the city, known for its traditional taverns. You’re free to enjoy dinner here before returning to the hotel.
Day 7 - Vienna - Budapest
We’ll travel from Vienna to Budapest, a journey of around three hours. Upon arrival in Hungary’s capital, you’ll have free time for lunch in the bustling Váci utca area, known for its shops and lively atmosphere. Afterwards, we embark on a scenic boat trip along the Danube River, offering striking views of historic Buda on one side and the vibrant Pest on the other. This is followed by a panoramic tour of Budapest, often called the “Queen of the Danube,” highlighting the city’s key landmarks. You’ll have some free time later to explore at your own pace. In the evening, there is an optional dinner outing featuring a traditional Magyar show.
Day 8 - Budapest - Bratislava - Prague
We leave Budapest early and travel to Bratislava, the capital of Slovakia, known for its attractive historic centre along the Danube. You’ll have time to explore the city and enjoy lunch independently. Afterwards, we continue to the Czech Republic, arriving back in Prague by evening.
