Welcome to Rovaniemi, the capital of Finnish Lapland. On arrival, you can make your own way to the hotel, or pre-book transfers with us. The rest of the day is at leisure until the early evening, when you will meet with your tour escort in the hotel lobby for a welcome meeting with the rest of the tour group.
Inject some speed and adrenaline into your Lappish adventure with an included 2-hour snowmobile safari this morning. Beginners or experts are all welcome, and the safari includes a ride through the frozen landscapes of Lapland as well as a break for hot drinks and to soak up the scenery. All equipment is provided and we'll be transferred back to the hotel in Rovaniemi after the tour.
Please note: As per Finnish laws, you will need to present a valid international driving license of B category in order to ride a snowmobile - these can be obtained prior to travel. If you do not have a valid license, you can still participate in the safari, but as a passenger.
Please also note: On this tour, dinner is included on days 2 and 3 for all departures up until 17 January 2026. For departures after this date, dinner is not included and is at your own expense.
It's another busy day today, beginning with an included excursion to Santa Claus Village. We'll be able to visit Santa in his office, take in the Post Office and officially cross the Arctic Circle, the border of which runs through the village.
Later, enjoy an exhilarating 10-minute husky sleigh ride and then spend some time relaxing around an open fire and meeting the hard-working and friendly husky dogs.
In the evening, embark on an included 3-hour Northern Lights tour, where we hope to spot the magical Aurora Borealis. We'll journey away from Rovaniemi into the wilderness, away from any light pollution. While we wait for the Northern Lights to appear, we can share stories, learn more about the Arctic ecosystem and its people and enjoy some hot drinks and snacks. We'll head back to the hotel after the tour.
After a busy day yesterday, today is completely free for you to do as much or as little as you like. You could learn about the indigenous Sami people at the Arktikum Museum, try your hand at ice fishing or snowshoeing, or head out on a reindeer safari. Alternatively, channel your inner Kimi Raikkonen, Valterri Bottas and Mika Hakkinen with an Ice Karting experience, allowing you to drive fast on the sheet ice and discover why some of the world's best racing drivers hail from Finland. Your tour escort will be able to help you plan the day to ensure you don't miss out on your preferred activity.
Our tour arrangements end after breakfast and hotel check out. Make your own way to the airport, unless you've pre-booked transfers with us. Safe travels!
