Day 1 - Paris - Rouen - Arromanches - Caen
Welcome to the start of your adventure! We begin our journey bright and early, departing from Paris and heading towards the enchanting region of Normandy. Our first stop is Giverny, where you'll have the chance to visit Monet’s House, complete with its stunning gardens—a location that played a significant role in the impressionist art movement central to Normandy. After soaking in the creativity and beauty of Monet's world, we continue our travels to Rouen, the historic capital of Normandy. Here, you can wander medieval streets and admire the impressive cathedral, with time set aside for a leisurely lunch.As we journey onward, we'll visit Arromanches. This coastal town is important for its historical significance, where the beaches serve as a poignant reminder of the WWII landings in France. We conclude our day in Caen, offering you the rest of the evening to explore its charming central district at your own pace. Please note that if travelling between November and April, Monet’s House will not be open to visitors, and our itinerary will not include a stop in Giverny. Please note: This tour may have travellers joining or departing at various points along the route, meaning group composition can change during the tour. Please also be aware that depending on group composition, guiding may be in additional languages as well as English.
Day 2 - Caen - Mont-Saint-Michel - Fougeres - Chartres - Paris
We will set off early in the morning for Mont-Saint-Michel, often referred to as "The Wonder." This remarkable island city, encircled by the sea, is famous for its historic abbey. We will have time to wander and appreciate this unique location. Our next stop is Fougères, an enchanting town in Brittany, nestled at the foothill of the largest fortress in Europe. Here, the medieval cobblestone streets invite us for a leisurely stroll, and there will be time for lunch. We will then proceed to Chartres to marvel at its magnificent Gothic cathedral. Our day concludes as we head back to Paris, with an estimated arrival at around 8:30 p.m.
Day 3 - Paris
Following breakfast, our tour concludes, leaving you with delightful memories of your journey.
