Day 1 - Athens - Olympia - Archea Olimpia
We depart along the coastal road to the Corinth Canal, pausing briefly to admire this impressive engineering feat. Continuing on, we visit the Theatre of Epidaurus, renowned for its exceptional acoustics. Next, we stop in the charming town of Nafplion for a short photo opportunity before heading to Mycenae to explore the Archaeological Site and the Tomb of Agamemnon. From there, we travel through the heart of the Peloponnese, passing the towns of Tripolis and Megalopolis, before arriving in Olympia. Here, we enjoy dinner and spend the night in the birthplace of the Olympic Games.
Day 2 - Olympia - Delphi
After breakfast, we explore the Archaeological Site at Olympia, including the Sanctuary of Olympian Zeus and the Ancient Stadium, key landmarks of the original Olympic Games. We then travel through the plains of Ilia and Achaia, crossing the impressive bridge spanning the Corinthian Gulf from Rion to Antirion. Passing the charming towns of Nafpactos (Lepanto) and Itea, we continue to Delphi, where you will have dinner and spend the night.
Day 3 - Delphi - Athens
After breakfast, we explore the Archaeological Site and Museum in Delphi, delving into its rich ancient history. You then have a couple of hours of free time to wander and absorb the atmosphere. We continue by road through the village of Arachova, known for its vibrant rugs and carpets, before returning to Athens via Levadia and Thebes. We expect to arrive in Athens early this evening.
