Itinerary
Day 1 - Reykjavik
Arrive in Iceland and travel to Reykjavik. We arrange your overnight stay in the city. You can add an optional airport transfer during booking if you'd like a direct ride to your hotel. This evening you're free to explore - try local restaurants, browse the shops and visit a few cultural sights at your own pace.
Day 2 - The Golden Circle
We set out on Iceland's classic day tour - the Golden Circle. We explore the rift valley at Thingvellir National Park, watch Strokkur erupt in the Geysir geothermal area, and admire the power of Gullfoss - often framed by icy cliffs in winter.
In the evening, you can join an optional guided Northern Lights hunt. Your expert guide will take you to the best available viewing location away from city lights. This tour is scheduled for your second night - with flexibility to reschedule on following evenings if weather conditions are poor or the lights are not visible. Please note that the Golden Circle tour operates on Tuesdays and Saturdays, so it may not always fall on day 2 - the exact day depends on the weekday you book and will also determine the order of any optional tours you add.
Day 3 - Reykjavik at Leisure
Enjoy a free day in Reykjavik - you can explore at your own pace or add an optional visit to the Blue Lagoon during booking. Unwind in its warm, waters rich in minerals amid lava fields and drifting steam - one of Iceland's most iconic experiences. The excursion includes return transfers with hotel pick up and drop off and Comfort Admission, which covers a mud mask, a rented towel and one drink.
Day 4 - Reykjavik at Leisure
You can spend the day at leisure in Reykjavik, or join an optional full-day tour of Iceland's dramatic South Coast. On this excursion we visit the waterfalls Seljalandsfoss and Skogafoss, continue to the black sand beach at Reynisfjara, and take in panoramic views of glaciers and distant volcanoes before returning to Reykjavik.
Day 5 - Reykjavik
Check out of the hotel and you are then free to travel to Keflavik International Airport - you can add an optional airport transfer during booking. Depart Iceland with lasting memories of your trip.
