Day 1 - New Delhi - Delhi
On arrival in Delhi, we’ll transfer you to your hotel to relax after your journey. Standard hotel check in is from 2.00 pm. The rest of the day is at your leisure – you can sample Delhi’s diverse cuisine, wander its vibrant streets and bustling markets, and begin to immerse yourself in the city’s rich culture. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 2 - Delhi - Old Delhi - New Delhi
DelhiWe spend the day exploring Old and New Delhi. In Old Delhi, we visit Jama Masjid – India’s largest mosque – then take in the UNESCO‑listed Red Fort before paying respects at Raj Ghat, Mahatma Gandhi’s memorial. We continue to Humayun’s Tomb, another UNESCO World Heritage site, to appreciate its symmetry and Mughal design. Moving into New Delhi, we see India Gate – the First World War memorial – and admire the stately government buildings, including Parliament House, Rashtrapati Bhavan and the Secretariat. We also visit the Qutub Minar complex to view the world’s tallest brick minaret, dating to the 12th century and decorated with intricate carvings. The evening is at leisure – you can shop, dine or explore at your own pace. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 3 - Delhi - Agra
Delhi – Agra (210 km – around 4 hours). After breakfast, we drive to Agra. On arrival, we check in to the hotel and pause to relax before exploring. We visit the Taj Mahal, a UNESCO World Heritage site and one of the Seven Wonders of the World, renowned for its white marble and symmetry. We continue to the UNESCO-listed Agra Fort to walk through its palaces and courtyards, then visit the elegant tomb of Itmad-ud-Daula, often called the Baby Taj, noted for its fine lattice and inlay work. In your free time, you can browse local markets or sample Agra’s cuisine. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 4 - Agra - Fatehpur Sikri
After breakfast we depart Agra for Ranthambore – around 250 km, 5 hours. En route we explore Fatehpur Sikri, the UNESCO World Heritage former Mughal capital built by Emperor Akbar, with its palaces, mosques and courtyards. We continue to Ranthambore and check in at the resort, with time to settle in before lunch. In the afternoon we visit Ranthambore Fort, set on a hill with sweeping views of the surrounding landscape. Overnight at resort.
Day 5 -
Wake early for our first game drive in Ranthambore National Park. Guided by experienced naturalists and trackers, we navigate rugged terrain and dense forest in search of Bengal tigers and other wildlife, with insights into animal behaviour along the way. In the afternoon, we head back into the park for a second game drive – continuing the search as the light fades. Overnight at the resort.
Day 6 - Ranthambore National Park - Bundi
Ranthambore to Bundi – 155 km – around 3 hours. After a leisurely breakfast, we drive to Bundi in the Aravalli hills. On arrival, check in and take time to relax. In the afternoon, we visit Bundi Fort – also known as Taragarh Fort – for sweeping views over the town and its grand gateways and palaces. We then admire Bundi’s ornate havelis, including the Chitrashala, the celebrated “Painted Chamber” with murals depicting Hindu mythology, royal processions and everyday life. Later, you can browse the local markets for textiles, handicrafts and souvenirs. Overnight in Bundi.
Day 7 - Bundi - Pushkar - Ajmer
After breakfast, we drive from Bundi to Pushkar through the Aravalli hills – 180 km – approximately 4 hours. On arrival, you check in at your hotel and have time to relax before we begin exploring. We visit Pushkar Lake, circling its ghats and temples where pilgrims gather for ritual baths and prayers, a calm setting for a gentle walk and quiet reflection. We then explore the Brahma Temple – among the few dedicated to Lord Brahma – noted for its red spire and detailed architecture. Later, we proceed to nearby Ajmer to visit the revered Ajmer Sharif Dargah, the shrine of Sufi saint Moinuddin Chishti, a place of devotion for people of many faiths. Overnight at hotel.
Day 8 - Pushkar - Jaipur
After breakfast we leave Pushkar for Jaipur – about 145 km, a drive of around 3 hours. On arrival in the Pink City, known for its royal architecture and colourful bazaars, we check in to the hotel and take time to refresh.The remainder of the day is at leisure. You can wander Jaipur’s bustling markets, browsing handicrafts, textiles and jewellery, or simply explore the lively streets at your own pace. As evening falls, you can enjoy the illuminated bazaars and vibrant atmosphere. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 9 - Jaipur
Jaipur We spend a full day exploring Jaipur’s highlights. We begin at Amber Fort, a showcase of Rajput architecture that includes the Sheesh Mahal – the famed Hall of Mirrors. Back in the city, we view the Hawa Mahal – its lattice of jharokhas once allowed royal women to observe street life unseen. We continue to the City Palace complex to see its courtyards and museums, including the Maharaja Sawai Man Singh II Museum with notable royal artefacts. We then visit Jantar Mantar, the observatory built by Maharaja Jai Singh II, where monumental instruments demonstrate traditional methods for measuring time and charting celestial bodies. Later, you can browse Jaipur’s markets at your own pace for textiles, jewellery and handicrafts. Overnight at hotel.
Day 10 - Jaipur - Mandawa
After a leisurely breakfast, we drive 170 km – around 3 hours – to Mandawa, a charming town famed for its frescoed havelis and often called Rajasthan’s open air art gallery. On arrival, we check in to the hotel; you can take some time to relax before we head out to explore. We visit Mandawa Fort, noted for its blend of Rajput and European influences, ornate gateways, carved balconies and vivid frescoes portraying scenes from Hindu mythology, royal processions and everyday life. We then explore several beautifully decorated havelis – Hanuman Prasad Goenka’s Haveli, Jhunjhunwala’s Haveli, Saraf Haveli, Murmuria’s Haveli, Ladia Haveli and Chokhani Haveli – each offering a window into the region’s mercantile heritage through detailed artwork and elegant architecture. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 11 - Mandawa - Delhi
After a leisurely breakfast, we drive 250 km – around five hours – back to Delhi. On arrival, we transfer you to the airport in time for your onward flight, bringing your journey through Northern India to a close.
