Set off from Pune and return there over 2 days on a refreshing escape into the Western Ghats. You’ll wind through scenic valleys to Bhimashankar – checking into a peaceful resort before visiting the revered Bhimashankar Jyotirlinga Temple, a sacred Shiva site with striking architecture and a deeply serene atmosphere. The next day brings the Bhimashankar Wildlife Sanctuary – think misty forests, endemic birds and, if you’re lucky, glimpses of shy wildlife on a trek or guided drive. Expect cool mountain air, lush green vistas and unhurried time to recharge between temple and trails – an easy, compact getaway that still feels wonderfully remote.

Day 1 - Pune
We pick you up from your Pune hotel or the airport and drive 130 km – about 3 hours – to Bhimashankar, a scenic journey through picturesque landscapes. On arrival, we check you into your resort, where you can take time to unwind and settle into comfortable accommodation with modern amenities. In the afternoon, we visit the Bhimashankar Jyotirlinga Temple – one of the twelve Jyotirlingas dedicated to Lord Shiva – to admire its impressive architecture and experience the serene atmosphere of this important pilgrimage site. Overnight in Bhimashankar.
Day 2 - Bhimashankar - Pune
After breakfast, we explore Bhimashankar Wildlife Sanctuary, a lush forested reserve known for its rich biodiversity. You can choose to venture deeper on a trek or opt for a driving safari for wider views of the terrain.Later, we drive back to Pune – approximately 130 kilometres, around 3 hours – taking in the scenic route. On arrival, we drop you at your hotel or Pune airport, concluding your Bhimashankar journey.
