Itinerary
Day 1 - Pune
Pune – Koyna Wildlife Sanctuary (approx. 200 km – 4 hours). We collect you from your Pune hotel or the airport for a comfortable drive through Maharashtra’s countryside to Koyna Wildlife Sanctuary. On arrival, we check you in to your chosen resort or camp within the sanctuary’s peaceful setting. We then take in views of the historic Koyna Dam – an important water source for Maharashtra – followed by a calm boat ride on Shivsagar Lake. Dinner is at the resort, with the evening at leisure. Overnight in Koyna.
Day 2 - Kolhapur
Wake to the sounds of the forest before we set out on a safari in Koyna Wildlife Sanctuary, travelling through dense woodland with a chance to spot wildlife such as tigers, leopards, sloth bears and varied birdlife. After the safari, we drive about 135 km – roughly 3 hours – to Kolhapur and check in to the hotel. The city is known for its heritage and bold Maharashtrian flavours, and in the evening you can explore its lively streets and markets at your own pace, sampling local specialities as you go. Overnight in Kolhapur.
Day 3 - Kolhapur - Goa
Kolhapur – Radhanagari Wildlife Sanctuary – Goa (265 km – around 5 hours driving)We depart Kolhapur and break the journey with a safari through Radhanagari Wildlife Sanctuary, exploring forest tracks in search of Indian bison and a variety of birdlife. After the safari, we continue to Goa and check in at your beachfront resort.The rest of the day is yours to unwind – you can take a gentle walk along the sand, enjoy the sea breeze and watch the sunset over the Arabian Sea. Overnight at resort.
Day 4 - Goa - Panaji - Panjim
This morning we set out on a heritage tour of Goa. We begin at the Basilica of Bom Jesus and the Se Cathedral – both UNESCO World Heritage sites – to appreciate their intricate architecture and ornate interiors. We continue to the Church of St Francis of Assisi, a fine example of Portuguese‑Gothic design with frescoes and gilded altars. We then stroll through Fontainhas, Panaji’s Latin Quarter, where colourful facades and street art reflect the area’s old‑world charm. Next, we visit Fort Aguada – a 17th century Portuguese fort perched on a hill above the Arabian Sea – to walk the ramparts and enjoy sweeping coastal views. We round off the day at Panjim Market, taking in the lively atmosphere as we browse spices, fresh produce, handicrafts and souvenirs. Overnight at the resort.
Day 5 - Goa
Goa. We begin with a leisurely breakfast at the beachfront resort, then there is no scheduled sightseeing – the day is free for you to enjoy sun, sand and sea. You can swim, sunbathe or rest in the shade with a book. If you prefer something livelier, you can arrange water sports such as parasailing, jet skiing or banana boat rides with local providers. As evening approaches, you can watch the sunset over the Arabian Sea – a serene end to the day. Overnight at the resort.
Day 6 - Goa
We begin the day with a relaxed breakfast at the resort. Depending on your flight schedule, you can browse local markets for last minute souvenirs or unwind by the pool.When it’s time to depart, you head to the airport for your onward journey, rounding off a trip that has combined wildlife encounters with Goa’s coastal charm.
