Dublin - Rock of Cashel - Blarney Castle - Kinsale. We leave the bright lights of Dublin behind and begin our journey south through the heart of the country. Our first stop is the magnificent Rock of Cashel in County Tipperary - one of Ireland’s most iconic historic sites. Perched on a limestone outcrop, this remarkable complex includes a medieval round tower, chapel, cathedral and castle, with over 1,000 years of history woven into its walls.

We then continue to Blarney Castle in County Cork, home to the world-famous Blarney Stone. Those who wish can kiss the stone to receive the legendary gift of the gab before exploring the castle’s extensive gardens. We also stop for lunch at the Blarney Woollen Mills Restaurant - a popular and welcoming spot for a traditional Irish meal.

By late afternoon, we arrive in the colourful harbour town of Kinsale - often regarded as West Cork’s gourmet capital. Known for its award-winning seafood, charming streets and coastal setting, Kinsale is a memorable first overnight stop and a wonderful introduction to the spirit of Ireland.

Kinsale - Kenmare - Killarney National Park - Dingle. We leave the colourful harbour town of Kinsale and travel west towards the Ring of Kerry. While we do not complete the full loop, today’s route showcases some of its finest scenery along the Wild Atlantic Way.

Our first stop is Kenmare, a charming heritage town known for its colourful streets and independent shops. We then continue through Killarney National Park, pausing at Moll’s Gap and Ladies View for sweeping panoramas of mountains and lakes. At Muckross House and Gardens, set beside the Lakes of Killarney, we stop for lunch surrounded by beautiful parkland.

We also visit Ross Castle, a 15th-century tower house on the shores of Lough Leane, where stories of clan life and local legend bring the past to life.

By evening, we arrive in the lively coastal town of Dingle, known for its traditional music and excellent seafood. You have time to explore the harbour, stroll the colourful streets and enjoy the warm welcome in the local pubs.

This morning we follow the spectacular Slea Head Drive, one of Ireland’s most scenic coastal routes. Along the way, we stop at rugged headlands, admire sweeping Atlantic views and see ancient beehive huts - early stone dwellings that have stood for centuries. The route also reveals quiet harbours and windswept beaches scattered across the Dingle Peninsula.

We return to Dingle around lunchtime, and the afternoon is free for you to explore at your own pace. Browse local shops and cafés, sample fresh seafood or simply relax and enjoy the town’s friendly atmosphere. With a second night here, there is no need to repack - you can fully unwind and make the most of Dingle’s music, hospitality and charm.

Dingle - Cliffs of Moher - Burren National Park - Doolin. We leave Dingle and travel north over the dramatic Connor Pass - one of Ireland’s highest mountain roads - before passing the golden sands of Castlegregory.

A highlight of the day is a traditional sheepdog demonstration. We watch as a skilled farmer and sheepdog work in perfect partnership to herd sheep across the fields - a wonderful insight into rural Irish life.

We then cross the River Shannon by ferry into County Clare. The landscape shifts as we enter the Burren National Park - a striking limestone region shaped by glaciers and rich in rare flora and ancient monuments. We continue to the Cliffs of Moher, where we have time to walk along the cliff edge and take in commanding views over the Atlantic.

This evening, we settle into our accommodation in either Doolin - known for its colourful houses and traditional music - or the lively market town of Ennistymon.

Please note: on Tours departing Tuesdays, the sheepdog demonstration takes place on Day 7 near Grange, County Sligo. On these departures, the morning in Dingle includes a visit to the Dingle Cookery School for a live demonstration exploring 10,000 years of Irish food history, followed by tea, coffee and freshly baked scones.

Doolin - Inis Oirr - Burren National Park - Galway. Today we continue along the Wild Atlantic Way with a ferry trip to Inis Oírr, the smallest of the Aran Islands. Here, you can explore quiet beaches, ancient ruins and small villages that offer a glimpse into traditional island life.

On our return to the mainland, we take a cruise beneath the Cliffs of Moher - an impressive way to experience this landmark from sea level.

We then travel once more through the Burren’s distinctive limestone landscape before arriving in Galway - a city celebrated for its colourful streets, lively music scene and excellent food. The evening is free for you to enjoy the energy of Ireland’s west coast.

Galway - Connemara National Park - Westport. This morning, you can join an optional ‘Welcome to Galway’ walking tour to learn more about the City of the Tribes and its medieval past. Alternatively, enjoy free time to explore the Latin Quarter, browse independent shops or relax in a café.

We then journey into Connemara, a region of rugged mountains and sparkling lakes. Our highlight stop is Kylemore Abbey, where we spend time exploring the Victorian Walled Gardens and enjoying lunch in this remarkable lakeside setting.

By late afternoon, we arrive in Westport, a picturesque town near Clew Bay. The evening is free to explore its historic streets and lively pubs.

Westport - Donegal. You have free time this morning to explore Westport, including its elegant Georgian streets or nearby Westport House.

We then travel north through County Sligo, passing the distinctive flat-topped Benbulben Mountain, steeped in Irish legend.

Our day ends at Lough Eske Castle, where we stay overnight in this historic setting surrounded by woodland and lakeshore scenery.

Please note: on Tuesday departures, the sheepdog demonstration takes place today near Grange, County Sligo, en route to Lough Eske.

Donegal - Derry (Northern Ireland). Today we explore the dramatic landscapes of County Donegal. We visit the towering Slieve League Cliffs - among the highest sea cliffs in Europe - where we take in far-reaching Atlantic views.

We continue through the scenic Glengesh Pass, a winding mountain road with striking views, and pass remote villages and hidden beaches along the way.

At Ardara Distillery, we learn about the craft of Irish whiskey and enjoy a tasting.

By afternoon, we arrive in Derry. A guided walking tour introduces the city’s 17th-century walls and its more recent history during the Troubles. The evening is free to enjoy Derry’s restaurants and lively pubs.

Derry - Giant's Causeway - Belfast. We travel along the renowned Causeway Coastal Route to the Giant’s Causeway - a UNESCO World Heritage Site formed by ancient volcanic activity. We walk among the distinctive hexagonal basalt columns and hear the legends that surround them.

Continuing along the Antrim Coast, we stop at the Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge. If conditions allow and you choose to cross, you are rewarded with exhilarating coastal views. We also admire the cliff-top ruins of Dunluce Castle.

By evening, we arrive in Belfast. You are free to explore the Cathedral Quarter, known for its street art, music and excellent dining options.

Belfast - Dublin (Republic of Ireland). Enjoy a relaxed morning in Belfast with free time to explore the city’s murals, shops and cafés.

We then visit Titanic Belfast, an award-winning museum located on the site where the ship was built. Here, we discover the story of the Titanic from conception to launch and beyond.
