Dublin - Belfast. Our Irish adventure begins at the historic site of the Battle of the Boyne, where we learn about one of the most significant conflicts in Irish history. This afternoon, we head to Titanic Belfast for a moving and interactive experience that explores the story of the world's most famous ship and the industrial heritage of the city that built her.
This evening is ours to soak up Belfast's buzzing atmosphere, whether over a pint in a cosy pub or on an optional Black Cab tour to learn more about the city’s turbulent past.
Meeting Point: The Ashling Hotel Dublin, 10 - 13 Parkgate St, Stoneybatter, Dublin 8, D08 P38N at 08:00.
Belfast - Derry. Today promises some of Ireland’s most dramatic scenery. We follow the Causeway Coastal Route to the legendary Giant’s Causeway, where natural hexagonal columns stretch into the sea. If conditions allow, we’ll cross the thrilling Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge before continuing to the clifftop ruins of Dunluce Castle.
We end the day in the vibrant city of Derry. A walking tour brings the walled city’s rich and complex history to life, and tonight our guide will point us toward the best places to eat, drink, and enjoy the Northern Irish charm.
Total driving time: 1 hour 15 minutes,
Derry - Donegal. Crossing into the Republic, we visit Ardara Distillery for a glimpse into Donegal’s whiskey traditions – and a warming sample or two. From here, we take the scenic drive over Glengesh Pass, where the rugged beauty of Ireland’s northwest unfolds in full glory.
Tonight, we rest our heads at the elegant Lough Eske Castle, a historic landmark that has been lovingly restored to its former glory.
Total driving time: 1 hour 30 minutes
Donegal - Westport. We continue along the Wild Atlantic Way through County Sligo, taking in the wild, western landscapes that inspired Irish myths and legends. Keep an eye out for Benbulben, a striking tabletop mountain tied to the tales of Diarmuid and Grainne.
We arrive in Westport, one of the west’s most welcoming towns. Enjoy craft beer, hearty food, and perhaps some live music and craic at Matt Molloy’s – a local institution.
Total driving time: 2 hours 30 minutes,
Westport - Galway City. This morning, we pass through the rugged beauty of Connemara National Park on our way to Galway, a city bursting with energy, music, and creativity. A local food tour introduces us to the city’s culinary heritage and vibrant street life.
We wrap up our adventure with free time to browse the colourful lanes, explore the Claddagh fishing village, or simply soak in the city’s lively atmosphere. Our tour ends here in Galway, but our guide will be on hand with tips for making the most of any extra time in Ireland.
Total driving time: 1 hour 30 minutes
