Head off on a two-day safari escape from Nairobi into the highlands of central Kenya. The tour travels north through the tea and coffee estates of the central region, pausing for lunch near Nyeri before reaching the foothills of the Aberdare ranges. Settle in at a forest lodge set high above a floodlit waterhole and salt lick, where wildlife gathers through the afternoon, evening and night for high-altitude game viewing. A morning game drive in Aberdare National Park follows before the tour turns south again, arriving back in Nairobi. It makes a short but rewarding introduction to Kenya's wildlife and highland scenery.

Itinerary
Day 1 - Nairobi to the Aberdares
Nairobi - Aberdari - Nyeri. We depart Nairobi at 08:00 and drive north through central Kenya’s tea and coffee estates to the Aberdare Country Club or the Outspan Hotel in Nyeri for lunch, arriving around 12:00. On arrival we complete check in formalities and sit down to lunch.
Afterwards we relax with tea, coffee or hot chocolate before transferring into Aberdare National Park. Tonight we stay at either The Ark Tree Lodge or Treetops – elevated properties in the foothills of the Aberdare ranges overlooking a salt lick and waterhole. Their floodlit viewpoints offer outstanding high altitude wildlife watching.
From about 15:30 we settle in and spend the afternoon, evening and night observing wildlife from the lodge’s decks and lounges, enjoying close up viewing in comfort.
Day 2 - Aberdare Game Drive and Return to Nairobi
Nyeri - Aberdari - Nairobi. After breakfast at the lodge, we set off on a morning game drive through Aberdare National Park, making the most of the early light for wildlife spotting.Around midday we return to the country club near Nyeri for lunch.
The grounds are yours to enjoy for a while, you might play a round of golf watched by a family of warthog, have a game of tennis, or simply relax by the pool in the gardens.
We then begin the drive back south, arriving into Nairobi at around 7pm. From here, you are dropped off at your hotel or Nairobi residence, where the tour comes to an end.
