Itinerary
Day 1 - Madrid
Welcome to Madrid. Upon arrival at the airport, we will transfer you to your hotel. You will have some free time to relax before the tour begins. Please check the information boards in the hotel reception for details about the welcome meeting with your guide and fellow travellers. In the evening, we will take you to Plaza Mayor and La Latina – Madrid’s most popular areas for nightlife and tapas. You may choose to dine at a restaurant of your preference, with options including Indian, Chinese, Spanish and Middle Eastern cuisines.
Please note: This tour may have travellers joining or departing at various points along the route, meaning group composition can change during the tour.
Day 2 - Madrid
We begin the day with a thorough tour of central Madrid, taking in key sights such as Paseo del Prado, the impressive Cibeles and Neptuno fountains, Puerta de Alcalá, Plaza de Colón, and the historic Plaza Mayor. We then visit Retiro Park, a peaceful green space in the heart of the city, where we see the lake and the striking Palacio de Cristal. Admission to the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium, home of Real Madrid, is included, allowing you to explore one of football’s most iconic venues. The afternoon is yours to spend at leisure, with a return transfer to the hotel provided in the evening.
Day 3 - Madrid - Granada
We leave Madrid early this morning, travelling south through the plains of La Mancha. Our first stop is Puerto Lápice, a picturesque village closely linked to the story of Don Quixote. Continuing into Andalusia via the Despeñaperros gorge, we arrive in Granada, where lunch is included. The afternoon is free for you to explore at your own pace. We suggest visiting the Cathedral, which holds the tomb of the Catholic Monarchs, or wandering the Albaicín neighbourhood to enjoy views of the Alhambra from the Mirador de San Nicolás. Please note that admission to the Alhambra is not included in this tour and should be booked separately through the official website or authorised providers.
Day 4 - Granada - Nerja - Malaga - Ronda - Seville
We leave the Sierra Nevada mountain range behind and travel along the Mediterranean coast, known as the Tropical Coast. This area enjoys a mild microclimate throughout the year, allowing for the cultivation of tropical fruits such as guavas, mangoes and avocados, as well as sugar cane in the past. We stop in Nerja, a charming seaside town famous for its dramatic cliffs. From there, we continue to Málaga, the vibrant capital of the Costa del Sol, where you have time for lunch and a walk through the historic city centre. Afterwards, we head into the Andalusian sierras to visit Ronda, a striking white town renowned for the deep gorge that divides it. In the late afternoon, we arrive in Seville, where dinner will be served at the hotel.
Day 5 - Seville
In the morning, we’ll explore Seville on a guided city tour, visiting highlights such as the cathedral with its iconic Giralda tower, the banks of the Guadalquivir River, and the vibrant neighbourhoods of Santa Cruz and Triana. Following the tour, we’ll enjoy a relaxing boat ride along the Guadalquivir, offering exceptional panoramic views of the city. In the evening, you have the option to attend a traditional flamenco tablao to experience authentic Andalusian music and dance.
Day 6 - Seville - Cordoba - Consuegra - Madrid
We leave Seville, travelling along the Guadalquivir Valley towards Córdoba, once the capital of the Caliphate of Córdoba in Islamic Spain. With a local guide, we visit the remarkable Mosque–Cathedral, with admission included. We also explore the atmospheric Jewish Quarter, known for its narrow streets and colourful patios, which are iconic features of the city. After lunch, we continue into Castilian territory and stop at Consuegra, where a row of twelve giant windmills stands beside the castle, overlooking the vast La Mancha plain. We visit the Rucio Mill before heading back to Madrid to conclude the day.
Day 7 - Madrid
Following breakfast, the tour concludes, giving you time to reflect on your experience and prepare for your onward travel. We trust you will leave with many lasting memories of your journey.
