Tanzania Highlights Exploration

Welcome to Tanzania. Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO), you will be met and transferred to your hotel in Arusha. The afternoon is yours to relax or explore Arusha at your own pace. You may choose to visit local markets, cafés or simply enjoy the hotel’s amenities. Overnight accommodation is in Arusha.

After breakfast and your safari briefing, we set off in a private 4x4 vehicle for Tarangire National Park. Upon entering the park, we begin game viewing as we make our way to the lodge, where lunch awaits. After some time to relax and enjoy the lodge’s facilities, we head out for an afternoon game drive, returning to the lodge in the evening for dinner and overnight accommodation.

After a hearty breakfast at the lodge, we set out for morning and afternoon game drives in Tarangire National Park. This gives you ample opportunity to spot the park’s diverse wildlife across its varied landscapes. Meals are included, and you will return to the lodge each evening for dinner and overnight accommodation.

We leave early for Lake Manyara and the Great Rift Valley region, stopping at Ol Mesera Manyara Restaurant in Mto wa Mbu for lunch accompanied by a Makonde carving demonstration. Afterwards, we continue to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, arriving at the lodge in the afternoon where you can relax and take in views of the Ngorongoro Crater. Dinner and overnight are at the lodge.

We set off early to descend into the Ngorongoro Crater floor for a full day of game viewing in this remarkable natural enclosure. Covering just 102 square miles yet home to over 30,000 mammals, the crater offers an excellent chance to spot the Big Five. A picnic lunch is provided at a scenic spot within the crater, allowing you to relax amid the stunning surroundings. In the afternoon, we return to the crater rim and your lodge, where you can enjoy dinner and overnight accommodation.

We depart for Serengeti National Park, arriving at the lodge in time for lunch. En route, we stop at Olduvai Gorge to explore the site where the Leakey family made significant archaeological discoveries. Here, you can visit a small museum displaying some of the artefacts found. We also visit a Maasai village to experience local culture. Continuing into Serengeti National Park, we enjoy a hot lunch at the Miracle Experience Seronera restaurant. After lunch, we head west towards the Mbalageti Hills, game viewing along the way as we take in the abundant wildlife. We arrive at the lodge in the late afternoon, allowing time to freshen up before dinner and overnight.

After breakfast at the lodge, we set out for morning and afternoon game drives in Serengeti National Park. Renowned for its vast wildlife populations and the annual Great Migration of wildebeests, zebras and gazelles, the park’s varied landscapes are equally impressive. You will explore riverine forests, woodlands, rocky kopjes and volcanic grasslands, all providing excellent opportunities to spot animals. With some luck, you may see the Big Five – lion, elephant, buffalo, leopard and rhinoceros – as well as a variety of birds and reptiles. We pause midday for lunch back at the lodge before continuing the afternoon game drive. In the evening, enjoy dinner at the lodge and overnight in the Serengeti.

After a hearty breakfast at the lodge, we spend the day fully immersed in the vast Serengeti. We enjoy a bush lunch before continuing with an afternoon game drive, taking in the diverse wildlife and landscapes. You will return to the camp in the early evening for dinner and an overnight stay.

After an early morning game drive, we travel to Seronera airstrip for your scheduled flight to Arusha, departing at 11:00 and arriving at 12:20. Upon arrival, you will be met and transferred to Saana Restaurant for lunch. Afterwards, we transfer you to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your onward flight (not included). Please note that the earliest arrival time at the airport is 5:00 pm, so ensure your departure flight is scheduled accordingly.
