Day 1 - Vienna
Welcome to Vienna. Upon arrival, we’ll transfer you to your hotel, where you’ll have some free time to settle in and start soaking up the city atmosphere. Later this afternoon, please check the information boards at the hotel reception for details about your tour’s beginning and useful guidance for the days ahead.
Please note: This tour may have travellers joining or departing at various points along the route, meaning group composition can change during the tour.
Day 2 - Vienna
Today we’ll take a panoramic tour of Vienna with a local guide, exploring its grand avenues, magnificent palaces, expansive parks, and vibrant city centre. In the afternoon, you’ll have free time to discover the city at your own pace. In the evening, we include a transfer to the Grinzing district, a former wine-growing village now part of Vienna, known for its traditional taverns. You’ll have free time to enjoy dinner in this atmospheric area.
Day 3 - Vienna - Budapest
After approximately three hours of travel, we arrive in Budapest, the vibrant capital of Hungary. Our first stop is Váci utca, a bustling pedestrian street where you’ll have free time to enjoy lunch at your leisure. Afterwards, we embark on a scenic boat trip along the Danube River, offering striking views of historic Buda on one side and the lively, cosmopolitan Pest on the other. Following this, we begin a panoramic tour of Budapest, often called the “Queen of the Danube,” taking in its key landmarks and cityscape. You’ll then have some free time to explore independently. In the evening, we offer an optional outing to a traditional Magyar show, which includes dinner.
Day 4 - Budapest - Bratislava - Prague
We depart Budapest early and travel to Bratislava, the capital of Slovakia. This charming city sits along the Danube and features an attractive historic centre for you to explore at your own pace, with time for lunch. Later, we continue to the Czech Republic, arriving in Prague in the evening.
Day 5 - Prague
Today, we explore Prague, often called the Baroque jewel of Europe. A local guide will take us on a panoramic tour, showcasing the city’s most remarkable sights. We will visit Prague Castle, with admission included, to discover this historic seat of Czech power. Afterwards, we enjoy a scenic boat ride on the Vltava River, also included, offering a unique view of the city’s architecture. In the afternoon, you have free time to wander and experience Prague at your own pace.
Day 6 - Prague - Pilsen - Rothenburg - Frankfurt
We depart early from Prague and travel to Pilsen in western Bohemia, a city famed for its beer heritage. You’ll have time to explore the historic centre, including the Old Town Square, cathedral, Plague Column, and Renaissance-era town hall. Continuing into Germany, we follow a portion of the Romantic Road to visit Rothenburg, a picturesque town renowned for its well-preserved medieval charm. Later, we head to Frankfurt, Germany’s financial hub. Upon arrival in the evening, you’ll have free time to explore the historic city centre, where a variety of restaurants offer Indian, Asian, Italian and international cuisine.
Day 7 - Frankfurt - Cruise on the Rhine - Cologne - Amsterdam
Today, we embark on a scenic cruise along the most picturesque stretch of the Rhine River, travelling between the charming villages of Rüdesheim and St. Goar. This section of the river is renowned for its stunning scenery. Following the cruise, we journey to Cologne, famous for its imposing Gothic cathedral, one of Germany’s most iconic landmarks. Later, we continue to the Netherlands, arriving in Amsterdam by evening.
Day 8 - Amsterdam
Today we visit some of the Netherlands’ most picturesque spots. We begin at Zaanse Schans, known for its traditional houses, canals and iconic windmills. Next, we head to Volendam, a charming fishing village famed for its scenic harbour. From there, we take a short boat ride to Marken, once an island, now linked to the mainland by a dike; its stilt houses were originally built to protect against flooding. In the afternoon, we enjoy a guided tour of Amsterdam, taking in highlights such as the windmill and Rembrandt statue, the contemporary South District, and the diamond-cutting traditions at Museum Square. We then leave the coach and walk into the heart of the city, where the tour concludes. You will have free time afterwards to explore Amsterdam’s renowned canals, markets and cafés at your own pace.
Day 9 - Amsterdam - Brussels - Paris
After breakfast, we travel to Belgium, arriving in Brussels, the nation’s capital and home to the main European institutions. We will admire the impressive Grand Place, a masterpiece of Flemish Baroque architecture, and take a stroll to see the famous Manneken Pis statue. Brussels offers a unique blend of history, chocolate culture, and modern life. In the afternoon, we continue on to France, reaching Paris by early evening.
Day 10 - Paris
We’ll spend the morning exploring the magnificent Palace of Versailles (admission not included), famed for its grand architecture and stunning gardens. Returning to Paris, we’ll visit Montmartre, a distinctive bohemian district known for its artistic heritage and lively cabarets. To capture the full splendour of the city, we’ll then take a panoramic tour with a local guide, visiting Paris’s broad avenues and iconic landmarks. After the tour, we’ll return to the hotel. In the evening, there is an optional variety show for those interested in experiencing Parisian nightlife.
Day 11 - Paris - Rouen
We begin the day in central Paris with a visit to the iconic Eiffel Tower, where you can ascend to the second floor—the ticket is included. This is followed by a relaxing boat cruise along the Seine, offering a unique view of the city’s landmarks. The afternoon is yours to explore Paris at your own pace. Around 4:00 p.m., we leave Paris and travel to Normandy, arriving in Rouen. You’ll have free time to discover its historic centre, known for its medieval architecture and striking Gothic cathedral. Please note, if queues at the Eiffel Tower are long, we may adjust the visit time for your convenience, possibly rescheduling it for later or the following day.
Day 12 - Rouen - English Channel - Canterbury - London
We’ll begin the day with a leisurely stroll around the historic centre of Rouen, taking in its medieval architecture and charming streets at a relaxed pace. Afterwards, we’ll travel north to the coast and cross the English Channel by ferry. Upon arrival in England, we’ll continue to Canterbury, the country’s religious heart, famed for its delightful historic centre and cathedral. Later, we’ll proceed to London, where you’ll have free time to explore the area around Tower Bridge—one of the city’s most recognisable landmarks—before we make our way to the hotel.
Day 13 - London
We begin with a panoramic tour of London led by a local guide, highlighting key landmarks such as the Houses of Parliament, the River Thames, and Buckingham Palace—where you may be able to witness the Changing of the Guard, depending on the schedule. In the evening, we’ll gather at Piccadilly and enjoy a leisurely walk through Leicester Square, Chinatown, and Soho, known for their vibrant nightlife, theatres, and diverse dining options. You’ll have ample opportunity to choose a restaurant for dinner before we return to the hotel.
Day 14 - London
After breakfast, we will visit the British Museum, one of the world’s oldest and most renowned museums, showcasing artefacts from cultures across the globe. At lunchtime, we will provide a transfer to Camden, known for its lively and eclectic market, where you can explore a diverse range of stalls at your own pace. The afternoon is free for you to enjoy as you wish. Our journey concludes here, leaving you with lasting memories. Please check your flight time, as you may require an additional night’s accommodation.
