Day 1 - Mindelo - Sao Vicente
After landing at Cesária Évora International Airport, we meet our driver for a transfer to the hotel. Settle in and ease into island life. Overnight in São Vicente.
Day 2 - Mindelo
After breakfast, we make our own way to the meeting point in Mindelo to join a guided walking tour of this lively city. We stroll along Avenida 5 de Julho, pause at the redesigned Amílcar Cabral Square to see the Arts and Crafts Museum and the Mindelo Cultural Centre, and continue past the Eagle Monument, the African Liberators Municipal Market, the People’s Palace and the former Military Headquarters – now the Jorge Barbosa School. We view the exterior of Cesária Évora’s house and Joana Pinto’s workshop, reach Baltazar Lopes Square near the City Hall and the Church of Nossa Senhora da Luz, then head to Dom Luís I Square via Rua de Praia, the Belém Tower, the Fish Market and Independence Fair Market Plaza. Exterior visits only – your guide shares tips should you wish to go inside later, and entrance fees are not included. Total tour duration: approximately 3.5–4 hours. Overnight in São Vicente.
Day 3 - Santo Antao
Prepare for an early start. After breakfast, we meet our driver for a transfer to the harbour and take the ferry to Santo Antão, where you will spend the next four nights. On arrival, we transfer to the hotel and the rest of the day is at leisure. If you are keen to begin exploring, you can join a guided walk in Cova Crater Natural Park. Overnight in Santo Antão.
Day 4 - Santo Antao
After breakfast, you have the day free to enjoy Santo Antão’s volcanic peaks, deep valleys and terraced hillsides at your own pace. If you fancy an adventure, you can book an optional guided hike through the lush Paul Valley and its traditional villages. Overnight in Santo Antão.
Day 5 - Ponta do Sol
After breakfast, we meet our driver for a transfer to Ponta do Sol to explore another charming corner of the island. You can relax on Ponta do Sol Beach – a scenic spot for unwinding and sea views – and make time for Miradouro da Cova, which offers sweeping panoramas over valleys and dramatic mountain ridges. Overnight in Ponta do Sol.
Day 6 - Ponta do Sol
After breakfast, you enjoy a full day at leisure in Ponta do Sol. Wander the colourful waterfront, sip coffee in cosy cafés and browse small local shops. If you would like some activity, you can follow coastal paths along rugged cliffs for grand ocean views and a glimpse of everyday island life. Embrace the laid–back pace. Overnight in Ponta do Sol.
Day 7 - Ponta do Sol - Sao Vicente
After breakfast, we meet our driver for a transfer to the harbour and board the ferry back to São Vicente. On arrival, we transfer to the hotel and the rest of the day is yours to explore at leisure – perhaps amble through vibrant streets or linger at a seaside café. Overnight in São Vicente.
Day 8 - Sao Vicente
After a final breakfast, we depart at the scheduled time for Cesária Évora International Airport.
