Day 1 - Medellin
On arrival at José María Córdova International Airport, we’ll be waiting to meet you for a private transfer straight to your hotel in Medellín. At the hotel, we’ll assist with your luggage and check in – a smooth, welcoming start so you can settle in without any fuss. Overnight in Medellín.
Day 2 - Medellin
After breakfast at the hotel, the day is yours to discover Medellín at your own pace – explore characterful neighbourhoods, pause at local cafés, browse for handicrafts and sample local coffee. If you’d like to add an experience, you can book a Private Salsa Class – minimum two participants, hotel pick up at 08:00, duration four hours – led by a professional instructor and tailored to your level. Alternatively, choose the Medellín Private City Tour: History of Transformation – minimum two participants, hotel pick up at 08:00, duration four hours – visiting Comuna 13 to see its colourful street art and outdoor escalators, riding the San Javier MetroCable for panoramic views, and finishing in the city centre at Plaza Botero, home to 23 sculptures by Fernando Botero. Overnight in Medellín.
Day 3 - Medellin - Pereira
After breakfast, we’ll help you check out and provide a private transfer to José María Córdova International Airport for your flight to Pereira – not included. On arrival, we’ll meet you and take you by private vehicle to your hotel in the Coffee Region. The remainder of the day is at leisure – you can settle in, unwind and enjoy the peaceful surroundings at your own pace. Overnight in Pereira.
Day 4 - Santa Rosa de Cabal - Pereira
After breakfast, we set off by private vehicle to Santa Rosa de Cabal in Risaralda for a hands–on visit to Finca del Café. A local expert leads us through the speciality plantations, explaining each stage of production – from planting and selective hand–picking to pulping. We try roasting beans over a wood fire in a traditional farmhouse kitchen, pause at guadua bamboo viewpoints for a freshly brewed cup, and learn about the farm’s drying and processing methods. We then return to the main house for a refreshing coffee lemonade before travelling back to Pereira – a day immersed in the Coffee Cultural Landscape. Overnight in Pereira.
Day 5 - Pereira - Cocora Valley - Salento - Filandia
After breakfast, we travel by private transport from Pereira to the Cocora Valley, passing through the Coffee Cultural Landscape en route. If travelling by Jeep Willys, the visit begins in Salento. On arrival at the valley, we’re welcomed with a warm canelazo before setting off on a guided trek to admire the towering wax palms – the national tree and the tallest palm species in the world. We continue into the Cocora Natural Reserve, where a local guide introduces the region’s biodiversity, and we take part in the Wax Palm Ritual of Quindío – a short storytelling session on the tree’s cultural significance followed by the symbolic planting of seedlings as a gesture of conservation.We then head to the colourful town of Salento for a guided walk along its colonial streets, with free time for you to browse handicraft shops and cosy coffee houses. You can also join an optional barista show featuring speciality coffee at Jesús Martín Café – not included. The day continues in Filandia, where we visit the historic centre and the Quindío Viewpoint – entrance included – and pause at traditional basketry workshops to watch artisans at work and, if you wish, purchase handmade crafts. We round off the experience with a local gastronomic tasting before returning to your hotel. Overnight in Pereira.
Day 6 - Pereira
After breakfast, check out of your hotel. At the scheduled time, we provide a private transfer from your hotel to Matecaña International Airport (PEI) for your departure flight – we hope you leave with lasting memories of the Coffee Cultural Landscape, its traditions and the warmth of its people.
