Itinerary
Day 1 - Split - Trogir
Arrive at Split Airport, where our local representative will welcome you and assist with your car hire, providing guidance for your departure day. Begin your five-day journey along the stunning Dalmatian Coast with a short drive to Trogir, a remarkable town with origins dating back to ancient Greek times. The town’s name is linked to a Greek tragedy, and within the St Nicholas Benedictine Monastery you can still see a stone fragment of Kairos, the god of favourable moments. Explore Trogir’s rich history as you wander through its medieval streets, surrounded by crystal-clear waters and notable landmarks including elegant palaces, grand cathedrals, ancient walls, and a striking castle. We recommend visiting the Cathedral of St Lawrence and climbing its bell tower for spectacular views over the town. To deepen your experience, consider joining our optional guided tour to learn more about Trogir’s fascinating past. Overnight in Trogir on a bed-and-breakfast basis.
Day 2 - Trogir - Split - Dubrovnik
After breakfast at the hotel, we drive to Split, the largest city in Dalmatia. We suggest exploring the atmospheric old town, centred around the remarkable UNESCO-listed Roman Palace of Emperor Diocletian. Wander through the well-preserved streets and visit landmarks that catch your eye. You may choose to join our optional guided tour to deepen your understanding of the city’s rich history. For wine enthusiasts, there is also an optional tasting experience featuring authentic Croatian wines paired with local olive oil, fleur de sel, aged red wine vinegar and freshly baked bread. Later, we continue the journey south to majestic Dubrovnik, where you will check in to your hotel for an overnight stay on a bed-and-breakfast basis.
Day 3 - Dubrovnik
After breakfast at your hotel, we suggest exploring the old town of Dubrovnik, widely regarded as one of the most beautiful medieval towns in the world. You may choose to join our optional two-hour guided walking tour, which takes you through the cobbled streets while revealing the city’s rich history and architectural gems. For fans of the television series Game of Thrones, there is a special excursion to Fortress Lovrijenac—the Red Keep—offering stunning views of the old town and key filming locations such as King’s Landing, the Battle of Blackwater Bay, and the House of the Undying dungeon. Your guide will share insights into both the city’s heritage and its role in the fantasy world of the series. You can also take a boat trip to the nearby island of Lokrum, learning about its history and recent transformation into the enchanting town of Qarth.
