Day 1 - Prague
Welcome to Prague. Upon arrival at the airport, we’ll transfer you to your hotel. Please check the information boards in the reception area for details about the welcome meeting with your guide. In the evening, we’ll transfer you to the vibrant Old Town Square, bustling with activity. You can choose to dine at one of the many restaurants offering a range of international cuisines, including Czech, Chinese, Indian, and Italian. Afterwards, we’ll provide a return transfer to the hotel.
Please note: This tour may have travellers joining or departing at various points along the route, meaning group composition can change during the tour.
Day 2 - Prague
Today we explore Prague, often called the Baroque jewel of Europe. With our local guide, we’ll enjoy a panoramic tour of the city’s most significant monuments, including a visit to Prague Castle, with admission included. Afterwards, we’ll take a relaxing boat ride on the Vltava River, providing a unique perspective of the city’s landmarks. In the afternoon, you’ll have free time to explore Prague at your own pace and discover its charming streets and vibrant atmosphere.
Day 3 - Prague - Munich - Innsbruck
We depart early, travelling to Bavaria in Germany. By midday, we arrive in Munich, where you’ll have free time to wander through the historic city centre and enjoy lunch at your leisure. In the afternoon, we continue into Austria, reaching Innsbruck in the heart of the Alps. Here, you’ll have time to explore the Tyrolean capital, including the Golden Roof area and Old Town, where dinner can be enjoyed independently.
Day 4 - Innsbruck - Zurich
We begin the day with a visit to the Swarovski Museum in Innsbruck, renowned for its crystal artistry. We’ll explore the impressive gardens and discover the process behind the creation of Swarovski’s iconic pieces. Afterwards, you’ll have some free time to wander before travelling to Zurich. The journey offers beautiful views of the Tyrolean Alps en route. In the evening, you can enjoy Zurich’s historic lakeside centre, which boasts a diverse selection of restaurants serving Swiss, Indian, Oriental, Italian and international cuisine.
Day 5 - Zurich - Lucerne - Zurich
Today’s journey takes us through some of Switzerland’s most spectacular scenery, with towering mountains and crystal-clear lakes in the Interlaken region. We’ll stop in the charming village of Grindelwald for a coffee break before taking a cable car up the mountain. From there, we’ll walk along a winding path to a suspended bridge, which offers stunning views of the surrounding glaciers for those who wish to cross it. Lunch is included on the mountain before we descend. Our afternoon is spent in Lucerne, one of Switzerland’s most picturesque cities, where you’ll have time to explore the beautiful city centre at your leisure. We’ll then return to Zurich. For those interested, the guide will offer an optional full-day excursion starting in the morning, which includes free time in Lucerne followed by a rotating cable car ride to the summit of Mount Titlis at over 3,000 metres, providing breathtaking alpine views.
Day 6 - Zurich - Bellinzona - Como - Milan
We leave Zurich early and cross the Alps to reach the Italian-speaking region of Switzerland. Our first stop is Bellinzona, famous for its three medieval castles that form a UNESCO World Heritage Site. These castles, perched on the surrounding hills, testify to Bellinzona’s importance as a strategic Alpine stronghold. You’ll have some free time to explore the charming streets of the town centre. Next, we enter Italy and stop in Como for lunch. Known as the jewel of Lombardy, Como offers beautiful lakeside gardens and a striking cathedral. Afterwards, we continue to Milan, where our guide will take us to the impressive Piazza del Duomo. You’ll have some time to explore the square before we transfer you to your hotel for the night.
Day 7 - Milan - Pisa - Rome
Today we continue to Pisa, where we’ll take a small tourist train to the Piazza dei Miracoli, known as the Square of Miracles. Here, you’ll have time to admire this striking complex, including the renowned Leaning Tower of Pisa. Later, we’ll travel on to Rome, arriving in the evening.
Day 8 - Rome
In the morning, we’ll take a three-hour guided tour of Rome, combining a walking exploration of Imperial Rome with a panoramic bus ride to see some of the city’s most iconic landmarks. Highlights include the Arch of Constantine, the exterior of the Colosseum and the Imperial Forums, Circus Maximus, the Baths of Caracalla, the Basilica of Saint Mary Major, the Pyramid of Cestius, and Castel Sant’Angelo. Our tour concludes at Vatican City around 11:00 a.m., where you’ll have the option to visit the Vatican Museums and the Sistine Chapel. Later in the day, we’ll provide a transfer to Trastevere, a vibrant neighbourhood known for its cosy restaurants and lively atmosphere. We will return to the hotel around 8:30 p.m.
Day 9 - Rome - Florence
Today we depart Rome and travel north through picturesque landscapes en route to Florence. Upon arrival, we head straight to Piazzale Michelangelo to admire spectacular panoramic views of the city. From there, we walk towards the historic centre, where after some time for lunch, we join a guided tour with a local expert. This stroll takes in iconic landmarks such as the Ponte Vecchio, the Duomo, and Piazza della Signoria. Florence truly feels like an open-air museum. Later, you’ll have free time to explore at your own pace. In the evening, the area offers a wide range of restaurants serving international cuisine, providing ample options for dinner.
Day 10 - Florence - Venice
Today, we cross the Apennine Mountains, taking in the stunning mountain scenery en route to Venice. Upon arrival, we’ll take a boat across the Giudecca Canal to the island itself. With a local guide, we’ll visit the iconic St. Mark’s Square, exploring its remarkable architecture and history. Afterwards, we’ll tour the Murano Glass Factory to see traditional glassmaking techniques firsthand. You’ll then have some free time to explore Venice independently. Accommodation tonight is in the Mestre district.
Day 11 - Venice - Innsbruck - Salzburg
We depart Venice and travel into Austria, arriving in Innsbruck, the capital of Tyrol. You’ll have time to explore the historic city centre and enjoy lunch at your leisure. Afterwards, we journey through scenic mountain roads to Kitzbühel, a charming village renowned as a ski resort with snow for much of the year. You’ll have some free time to wander before we continue to Salzburg, where we arrive by evening. Please note that if the group is small, we may travel by train from Venice to Innsbruck.
Day 12 - Salzburg - Lake Traunsee - Vienna
Today, we’ll delve deeper into Austria’s rich heritage, beginning with a morning tour of Salzburg, the birthplace of Mozart. You’ll discover the city’s striking Renaissance and Baroque architecture, all set beneath the imposing Hohensalzburg Fortress. Afterwards, we’ll journey past scenic lakes and mountains to reach St Wolfgang, a well-known pilgrimage destination. From there, we continue to Traunkirchen on the shores of Lake Traunsee, where we’ll enjoy a included boat cruise showcasing four of the lake’s castles before disembarking at Gmunden. We’ll then travel on to Vienna, arriving in the evening.
Day 13 - Vienna
Today, we’ll take a panoramic tour of Vienna with a local guide. We’ll explore the city’s grand avenues, magnificent palaces, expansive parks and bustling centre, gaining a clear sense of its rich heritage and urban charm. In the afternoon, you’ll have free time to discover the city at your own pace. In the evening, we include a transfer to the Grinzing district—an historic wine-growing village now part of Vienna—where you can enjoy dinner in traditional taverns amid a lively, authentic atmosphere.
Day 14 - Vienna - Budapest
We’ll travel to Budapest, Hungary’s vibrant capital, arriving after approximately three hours on the road. Our first stop is the bustling Váci utca, where you’ll have some free time to enjoy lunch and soak up the lively atmosphere. Afterwards, we’ll embark on an included boat trip along the Danube River, offering superb views of historic Buda on one side and the cosmopolitan Pest on the other. Following the cruise, we’ll begin a panoramic tour of the city, often called the ‘Queen of the Danube.’ Later, you’ll have free time to continue exploring at your own pace. In the evening, an optional outing is available to experience a traditional Magyar show, including dinner.
Day 15 - Budapest - Bratislava - Prague
We depart Budapest early and travel to Bratislava, the capital of Slovakia. Set along the Danube, this city boasts a charming historic centre where you’ll have time to explore and enjoy lunch at your leisure. Afterwards, we continue to the Czech Republic, arriving in Prague by evening.
