Itinerary
Day 1 - Prague
Welcome to Prague. On arrival at the airport, we transfer you to your hotel. Check the information boards at reception for details of the welcome meeting with your guide. In the evening we transfer you to Old Town Square – a lively spot with Czech, Chinese, Indian and Italian options – where you choose where to dine before we take you back to the hotel.
Please note: This tour may have travellers joining or departing at various points along the route, meaning group composition can change during the tour. Please also be aware that depending on group composition, guiding may be in additional languages as well as English.
Day 2 - Prague
Today we explore Prague, the Baroque jewel of Europe. With a local guide we take a panoramic tour of the city’s highlights and include a visit to Prague Castle. Afterwards we enjoy a boat ride on the Vltava. The afternoon is free – you can continue discovering the city at your own pace.
Day 3 - Prague - Munich - Innsbruck
We depart early for Bavaria and arrive in Munich around midday – you have free time to stroll the historic centre and find lunch. In the afternoon we continue into Austria. In Innsbruck, capital of Tyrol, you have time to wander the Old Town and the Golden Roof area and to choose somewhere for dinner.
Day 4 - Innsbruck - Zurich
We begin with a visit to the Swarovski Museum, home of crystal design – we explore the striking gardens and learn about the creation process behind the pieces, then you have a little free time. We then travel through beautiful Tyrolean scenery to Zurich. In the evening we spend time in the historic centre by the lake, where you can choose from Indian, Oriental, Italian, international or Swiss cuisine.
Day 5 - Zurich - Lucerne - Zurich
Today brings superb alpine scenery of high peaks and clear lakes as we head into the Interlaken region. Our first stop is Grindelwald, with time for a coffee before we take the cable car up the mountain. We follow a winding path to a suspended bridge – those feeling adventurous can cross for spectacular glacier views – and lunch on the mountain is included. We then descend and continue to Lucerne, one of Switzerland’s loveliest cities, where you have time to explore, before we return to Zurich. Please note: the guide will offer an optional full–day excursion starting in the morning – after some free time in Lucerne, you can take a rotating cable car to the summit of Mount Titlis at over 3,000 metres for breathtaking views of the glacier and the Alps.
Day 6 - Zurich - Strasbourg - Paris
We depart Zurich for Alsace in France and visit its capital, Strasbourg – a charming city where French and German influences meet – with time for you to explore. We then continue to Paris, arriving in the evening.
Day 7 - Paris
We delve into the history of France at the Palace of Versailles – admission is not included – renowned for its magnificent gardens. Back in Paris we visit Montmartre, the bohemian quarter of artists and cabarets. To appreciate the city’s grandeur, we then take a panoramic tour with a local guide along its grand avenues and past its iconic monuments before returning to the hotel.
Day 8 - Paris - Rouen
We begin in central Paris with a visit to the Eiffel Tower – tickets to the second floor are included – followed by a relaxing cruise on the Seine. The afternoon is free for you to explore. Around 4 pm we leave Paris for Normandy and arrive in Rouen, where you have free time to discover the historic centre with roots in Roman times, medieval streets and an impressive Gothic cathedral. Please note: if queues at the Eiffel Tower are too long, we may reschedule the visit to another time – or to Sunday – for your convenience.
Day 9 - Rouen - English Channel - Canterbury - London
This morning we take a stroll through the centre of Rouen. We then travel to northern France and cross the English Channel by ferry to reach Canterbury, the religious capital of England with a charming historic centre. Our journey continues to London, where you have some free time around Tower Bridge before we head to the hotel.
Day 10 - London
We discover London on a panoramic tour with a local guide, taking in landmarks such as the Houses of Parliament, the River Thames and Buckingham Palace – you might see the Changing of the Guard, depending on the date. In the evening we set a meeting point in Piccadilly and take a stroll through Leicester Square, Chinatown and Soho – known for their lively atmosphere, theatres and entertainment – with plenty of dinner options before we return to the hotel.
Day 11 - London
After breakfast we visit the British Museum, one of the world’s oldest and most renowned museums. At lunchtime we provide a transfer to Camden, famous for its vibrant, eclectic market where you can browse goods from many cultures. The afternoon is free for you to explore at leisure. Our journey ends – please check your flight time in case you need an additional night.
