Welcome to Prague! Once you've arrived at the airport, we'll ensure your transfer to the hotel is seamless. Keep an eye on the information boards in the hotel lobby for our welcome meeting details with your guide. This evening, we'll whisk you away to the bustling Old Town Square, teeming with vibrant energy and diverse culinary options, including Czech, Chinese, Indian, and Italian cuisines. After your delightful dinner, we'll provide a return transfer to your hotel. Please note, travellers may join or leave the tour at different points, but the group will always remain within the maximum size limit, ensuring a consistent and enjoyable experience for everyone. Please note: This tour may have travellers joining or departing at various points along the route, meaning group composition can change during the tour. Please also be aware that depending on group composition, guiding may be in additional languages as well as English.
Day 2 - Prague
Day 2 in Prague unfolds with an exploration of this enchanting city, often hailed as the Baroque jewel of Europe. Our knowledgeable local guide will lead a panoramic tour, showcasing Prague's most significant monuments. The highlight is a visit to the imposing Prague Castle, with admission included in your journey. Following the castle visit, we will take you on a relaxing boat ride along the Vltava River, allowing you to appreciate the city from a different perspective. The afternoon is yours to enjoy at your leisure, providing an opportunity to delve further into the vibrant streets and hidden gems of Prague at your own pace.
Day 3 - Prague - Munich - Innsbruck
On the third day of our adventure, we will set off early towards Bavaria in Germany. Upon reaching Munich around midday, you’ll have the opportunity to wander through the historic city centre and savour lunch at your leisure. In the afternoon, we will journey onward to Austria, arriving amidst the stunning Alpine surroundings. In Innsbruck, the capital of Tyrol, you'll have time to explore the city's charming blend of historical and architectural beauty. As the day winds down, you'll have the chance to dine in the vibrant area around the Golden Roof and the Old Town.
Day 4 - Innsbruck - Zurich
We begin our day in Innsbruck with a visit to the renowned Swarovski Museum, the iconic realm of dazzling crystals. Here, we'll explore its magnificent gardens and gain insight into the intricate process behind creating these stunning pieces. Capture some free time to wander and soak in the surroundings before we set off for Zurich. Our journey takes us through the picturesque landscapes of Tyrol, offering a serene backdrop on our way to Zurich. Once we arrive, you can spend the evening exploring the city's historic centre by the lake, where a wide range of dining options awaits, including Indian, Oriental, Italian, International, and Swiss cuisines.
Day 5 - Zurich - Lucerne - Zurich
Our journey today promises awe-inspiring vistas as we explore majestic mountains and serene lakes. We will start by travelling to the breathtaking region of Interlaken. Our first stop is Grindelwald, where we'll pause for a refreshing coffee before ascending the mountain via cable car. At the top, we’ll embark on a scenic walk along a winding path that leads to a suspended bridge. For those with a sense of adventure, crossing the bridge offers stunning views of the surrounding glaciers. Lunch will be served on the mountain. After descending, we'll head to Lucerne, celebrated as one of Switzerland's most charming cities. Here, you will have free time to wander and delight in the city's idyllic beauty. We will then return to Zurich. Additionally, the guide will present an optional full-day excursion that starts in the morning. Following some leisure time in Lucerne, a rotating cable car will take us to the peak of Mount Titlis. Rising over 3,000 metres above sea level, the summit offers breathtaking sights of the glacier and the expansive Alps.
Day 6 - Zurich - Strasbourg - Paris
Today, we depart from Zurich and journey to the enchanting Alsace region in France. Our destination is Strasbourg, a city renowned for its charming blend of French and German influences. You'll have time to explore and delve into the city's unique character. In the afternoon, we continue our travels to Paris, where we’ll arrive by evening.
Day 7 - Paris
We start our adventure in France at the grand Palace of Versailles, renowned for its exquisite gardens and opulent architecture—entry is available at your discretion. As we make our way back to Paris, we explore the bohemian charm of Montmartre, famed for its vibrant artistic community and historical cabarets. To fully capture the essence of Paris, we embark on a panoramic city tour guided by a local expert, highlighting the city's grand boulevards and iconic landmarks. We round off the day returning to the hotel, with an optional evening variety show for those interested in further immersing themselves in the city's lively entertainment scene.
Day 8 - Paris - Rouen
We begin our day soaking in the charm of central Paris with a visit to the iconic Eiffel Tower. You'll have the opportunity to ascend to the second level of this world-famous iron structure, with tickets included. Following this, we'll unwind with a leisurely boat cruise along the Seine, giving you a different perspective of the city's magnificent architecture. The afternoon is yours to explore Paris at your own pace, enjoying its myriad attractions. Around 4:00 p.m., we depart Paris and make our way to Normandy, arriving in the historic city of Rouen. Here, you'll have the chance to wander through the city's historic heart, renowned for its medieval architecture and striking Gothic cathedral, which offer a truly enriching glimpse into Rouen's storied past. Please bear in mind that, should the queues at the Eiffel Tower be excessively long, we might reschedule your visit for a more convenient time, possibly even on Sunday.
Day 9 - Rouen - English Channel - Canterbury - London
Today, you'll start with a leisurely stroll through the historic centre of Rouen, appreciating its medieval architecture and gothic cathedral. Following the morning exploration, we’ll journey to northern France. Crossing the English Channel by ferry, we'll reach Canterbury, renowned as the religious heart of England with its charming historic centre. Continuing our adventure, we will make our way to London. Upon arrival, enjoy some free time around the iconic Tower Bridge area before we check into our hotel.
Day 10 - London
Experience the vibrant charm of London today with our informative panoramic tour, guided by a local expert. You'll explore some of the city's iconic landmarks, including the majestic Parliament, the scenic River Thames, and the royal splendour of Buckingham Palace. You might even be lucky enough to witness the traditional Changing of the Guard, depending on the day's schedule. As evening approaches, we'll gather in the bustling Piccadilly area. From there, we'll take a casual stroll through Leicester Square, Chinatown, and Soho, immersing ourselves in the lively atmosphere filled with theatres, eclectic dining options, and bustling nightlife. There will be plenty of restaurants for you to choose from for dinner, offering a range of culinary delights. After an exciting evening, we'll return to the hotel to unwind.
Day 11 - London - Colchester - Colchester - Volendam Ferry
We'll begin the day with a visit to the renowned British Museum, a treasure trove of global history and culture. You'll have time to explore its remarkable collections. As lunchtime approaches, we'll make our way to Camden, famous for its vibrant and eclectic street market. Here, you can browse a plethora of unique items and enjoy lunch from a variety of international food stalls and cosy eateries.In the late afternoon, around 4:00 p.m., we will travel to Colchester, celebrated as England's oldest recorded town. Enjoy a leisurely stroll through its charming historic streets before we continue to Harwich. Our day will conclude as we board a ferry for an overnight journey to the Netherlands, with comfortable en suite cabins ensuring a pleasant crossing. Please note, due to limited cabin availability on the ferry, our itinerary might include alternative travel arrangements such as a daytime ferry via Antwerp, or travel by train or flight directly to Amsterdam.
Day 12 - Colchester - Volendam Ferry - Volendam - Amsterdam
We arrive in the Netherlands at Hoek van Holland around 8 a.m. and head to the delightful fishing village of Volendam, known for its charming atmosphere. Following this, we proceed to Amsterdam for a guided city tour. This tour showcases some of Amsterdam’s highlights: admire the iconic windmills, the Rembrandt statue, and explore the South District's contemporary style. We also visit Museum Square, famous for the fascinating art of diamond cutting. After the bus tour, we’ll walk into the city centre, where the official tour ends. You then have free time to explore Amsterdam at your leisure.
Day 13 - Amsterdam
